I hate to say it but tonight was/is rough (we just punted for I don't know how many times) As any fan does he hopes that maybe when the game starts that it's different, that everything will come together and we will play like we should be playing 5 years from now. Then it all falls apart. I don't really know what to look forward to or be excited about this upcoming year. It seems we are as lost as ever. But every Sunday Ill be there, watching just hoping for what seems likes the impossible.

whoa man take a step back and a deep breath.....you think this game is being played anything like a reg. season game? we are rebuilding and we are in the PRESEASON....do you know what that means?...apparently not...

besides, both teams look like shit....and you must have missed our defense in the first quarter when they looked good....

That was rough. We had a shot to win it late, but that pick by clemens killed us. Atleast it's only the preseason.

Jtuds, you can use the "it was a pre-season game" excuse all you want. The fact is what you saw for the first 3 quarters tonight is what our team is right now. That was the team, an our offense is horrible and foul and un-watchable. Yes, its a rebuilding year, but tell me its because its pre season...nooooo my friend

Its gonna be a process, and with that, frustrating. But there is talent to be optimisitic about the future. I like the defense, especially with Miller, Coleman and Rhodes. I think Ball is a player.

I haven't seen the game yet, but the Giants have a pretty good team. Judging by the score it couldn't have been THAT bad.

Realist: It is a rebuilding year. We can't expect a ton of progress in preseason games.

Darksider: We fucking suck. I have nothing to add. I hate the "egg".

Sunshiner: It's only preseason. We held them to 13 points and probably have one of the best Special Team squads in the NFL!!!!!

    Which one are you?

You'll see more out of the offense variety-wise once the season starts. Whether or not that will translate to better performance is yet to be seen. The fact that we are rebuilding means that these guys (fans?...unknowledgeable ones apparently) who are criticising the team for not looking like a big play offense don't understand that there's a good year or 2 of aches and pains before we can even expect a season over .500

So yeah we look bad, we look horrible at times. Why state the obvious? The fact is that when the season starts the offense will look at little more varied thus less predictable, so hopefully it will translate to some improvement, but in the end we just cannot expect alot from this team this season. Too many people have expectations that are too high and its probably because they have no idea what transpired last season, don't understand what a rebuilding process is, and think the team they half-ass follow should be great every year.

Jtuds It seems you always use the defense that the people who post here are not knowledgeable. I apologize that I don't have over TWO THOUSAND posts but doesnt mean we are less knowledgeble. It was a rough game. Yes its rebuilding and yes its pre-season so do just ignore the fact that it was bad? Do you want the board to just not be active. This team is a professional football playing another professional football team. We have EVERY opportunity to win and make ourselves better and we may suck while we do that but as fans and spectators the simple fact is we sucked. Stop denieing it.

What you're attempting to do is similar to teaching a mouse to eat a cat.

    Not going to happen.

Lol absolutely we're rebuilding from a Semi-succesful season. We went 10-6 and one game into the playoffs granted we should've won but we didn't. I can see the Pennington thing as a shock it's just bad luck when your stat QB goes down twice like that, but we knew Martin was getting up there and even though he was the rushing champ in 2004 we should'nt have let Jordan go. It would be one less headache we'd have to worry about. In all reality we have almost NO offense. Our RB is just horrendous. Our QB depends literally on every play because every sack could be the end. And Coles is good but I would'nt throw him in the elite. So we are left with?? And the post about Shaun Alexander taken one spot after Chad, I wish you would've just kept that to yourself. Lol
