Reading some of the threads and views on this board regarding the lack of respect from the media, i.e- primetime coverge gets me irked. Who cares what the media or the nation thinks? Lets be straight here, despite being one of the proudest and best supported teams in the NFL, (throughout the world), we have greatly underachieved in our history as a ball club. I could care less what other people think, lets get their respect through becoming an elite team- lets make it this year, lets sneak past the Pats on opening day with a Nugent field goal then go and wipe the floor with the Ravens and then solidify our position and go on to win Home field advantage for the play-offs. Boomer: "Tom Jackson, what about the New York Football Jets, could .....they.....go ...all.....the .......way? Respect is earned in a New York Minute. Lets hope its 2007
the only primetime game i want the jets in is a game on a sunday in the last week of jan. thats more than enough primetime jets.
It's funny but last season we were projected to be a 4-12 team (at best) yet we got all kinds of prime time pub. No one was bitching then. Hell, they even gave us an extra bye week (Raiders game). So I agree with ScotlandJets. Let's go out and beat the best. "Respect" without the victories isn't really repect after all, now is it?
