Our WR's were open a lot last week because the Bills were stacking the box and selling out on the run. With the speed of Stephan Hill, Kerley and Holmes they should get a lot of big plays. Teams will eventually have to start backing off if Mark plays at that level.

That being said do you guys think Greene can be the answer? I still think we need another RB and especially a burner like Leon Washington who can catch a ball and take a screen to the house. I know McKnight should be that guy but after his demotion, it looks like the coaches are starting to lose faith in him.

So two questions, do we have enough depth at RB? And what about receiver? If one goes down we have to revert to Chaz Schillens who I have zero confidence in.... And why did we cut Turner? I almost think we should bring Plaxico Burress back, that's just another huge target for Sanchez and after last week I think that addition would make the sky the limit.

Bilal Powell should get more carries as he is an elusive back who can get some big gains that Greene cant

Do I think Greene is the answer though as a #1, hell NO but he's serviceable

I think they should just split carries between Greene and Powell at this point.

It'd be nice if the Jets found an all-purpose back who could run well and and was also a threat out of the backfield as a receiver. Those guys don't grow on trees though.

I think the way the NFL is evolving the dual-threat RB's are probably going to become one of the most important pieces in the modern offense. It's a natural evolution that's probably been coming on since the 49ers turned Roger Craig into major profit in the WCO. Marshall Faulk took it to the next level and now you have guys like Ray Rice and Matt Forte sliding into the niche almost perfectly.

Put Ray Rice on a team with a great QB and the offense would be really hard to stop.

I would love to see Reggie Bush on this team, he found his niche with Sparano and ran more aggressive and physical. Bush/Greene or Bush/Powell would be nice for us

I always feel though its best to draft your own RB or sign/trade for one with low mileage

Yeah, most teams are two back teams now. Greene is fine. Probably he could be upgraded. Probabaly the depth could be upgraded. But its no excuse and no problem.

Plaxico? Meh. If you always run for veterans, you never develop youth. I want youth.

This may be a ridiculously stupid suggestion coming from someone who is still a relative novice to the game, but I don't understand why they don't try Tebow in the RB position. He has shown he can run last season and is a pretty big beast of a man so could push through the DL's. Only thing I'm not sure of is his agility but it's gotta be better than his throwing arm. Would be interested to at least see him tried in this position.

Tebow has com out adn said he doesn't want to switch positions. Plus, most of his big runs come when a pass play breaks down. He just scrambles and picks up 10-15 yards. I don't know how successful he would be strictly as a RB.

Powell needs more reps to see what we have there , I think Greene is a head down power back and thats how we should use him. He doesnt have a cut that is elite so use him in power run packages and 3rd-4th qtr like we did yr 1 of his career when he was most effective

I wish we had 11 people on offense who were elite at every role. That would really confuse the defense.

Greene's going to have a big game today. I doubt they stack the box after what they saw last week. 80+ yards and a TD at minimum for Greene.

They should do it by committee between Greene, Powell and McKnight.

This is why I think they should have taken a run at Demps -- great speed out of the backfield, return man, good utility player that could evolve into maybe a Chrebet type.

    Shonn Greene is a liability

No ability to make defenders miss

Gets hurt at least twice a game

    Can't pass block

    Can't catch

He is a good #2 second half smasher. Not a good every down guy.

Can we FINALLY all agree now that Shonn Greene is not even average; he's bad. There's no defending this guy anymore. I would rather have Dwyer, their 3rd string RB than Greene.

If I see another 2 yard run Im going to lose it. Feed the hot hand and stop committing yourself to a shitty back.
