Neither option is strong enough. They should cut off his hands and feet. I went with benching because I didn't see that one.
Should the Fins have benched Ronnie Brown for his DUI? Yes. Should the fact that the Fins act without institutional discipline or morality affect the Jets decisionmaking? No.
No team should bench a player for a DUI. Unless that player is driving to a team activity and is drunk. If the player is on his personal time, there should be no penalty by the team or the league.
hahaha i figured a thread like this was coming I think the thing with Braylon goes a little deeper than Ronnie ... Braylon had a tough opening night against the Ravens including a penalty Brayon has a great game against NE but gets a really dumb taunting penalty (someone still needs to teach him how to dougie) and then this 2 days later? you have to wonder about the guy's focus. but to answer your question WSW, frankly yes they both should've been if not simply for the recent Donte Stallworth tragedy
No, but I mean, if you can't dismember him, you've got to do something. Fuck Ronnie Brown. All I care about is the response to Braylon. Like I said yesterday, I'm a huge advocate of financial penalties and community service for DUI infractions that don't involve property or personal damage. Woody should privately speak to Braylon and make sure that he's spending part of his time off right now getting involved with the community. Make a proactive effort before the court system gets involved and start volunteering to speak to kids about the dangers of drinking and driving.
YES!!!!! All players that drive drunk should be suspended for at least a game whether they are dolphins, Jets or whoever. TWICE in the last 10 years or so NFL players have driven drunk and KILLED people, if you drive drunk it should be an automatic suspension.
Then that's a change that needs to take place at the NFL level. I wouldn't have a problem with the NFL making that decision, obviously. It's not up to the Jets and Dolphins, however, to undertake that change and adversely affect their chances at success to make some sort of statement, all the while drawing the wrath of the NFLPA down on themselves.
This should definitely be happening. It would be in Braylon and the team's best interest. This I agree with. No suspension but spending some time with the local kids, helping the community. Maybe he could take in a family of small birds and let them reside in his beard until Sunday night?
I think they should, but only if Braylon can play. Or make them thumb wrestle, and whoever wins just won at thumb wrestling and we can play Braylon anyway.
