This is one of the first times i can remember as a Jets fan (1990 and counting...) not feeling sick after a big game loss. Aside from all of the promise we have because of Mangini, a healthy Pennington, the WR's, Leon Washington, and a D that's getting there, there was one big thing that stuck out yesterday that all of us "same ole jets" fans can appreciate:

The Jets just plain got beaten by a more prepared and better team. Thats it! They lost the game the same way any other NFL team would have lost that game. For the Jets, that's a big accomplishment. They didn't miss any easy last second field goals...they didn't get beat on a fake snap...they just got beaten. It's a great sign people...it's a great sign because teams get beat like this in the playoffs all the time and they come right back next year just like the jets will. No big emotional stmoach punch to get over. Just a playoff loss against a team that we're gonna overtake very soon.

I agree, I wasn't all that upset about the loss. Obviously I wanted to win, but the loss is just the beginning of the Jets moving in the right direction.

Only one bad mistake that will change every jets players football mentality and I hope it affects positively, but unlike Parcells jinx it wasn't a bad handled snap.

I wouldn't exactly say more prepared. If anything I would say this is a tribute to how well Magini has coached all year. To get this far with this team is amazing. And you guys seemed very well prepared, your were simply the less talented team.

IMO, Magini did the best with what he had and if we learned anything it's that NYJ need to bring in more talent.
