From the way it looks, there is just no freaking way in hell he plays for cheap.

    Here's his 2 cents:

"I'm not in rental mode. You're not going to rent me for six months because someone with my career warrants more than that. I just laugh when I read that stuff. All those editors should save their ink for another day. I keep seeing people say that I'm going to sit around and wait for a receiver to get hurt in training camp. I don't need to do that. I'm not playing for $750,000, $850,000, $1 million or $2.5 million. You can write that down."

    -------------------------------

Do you guys still want him? I sure as hell don't.

If nobody's getting in a bidding war for you, the least you and your agent can do is make it seem your services are in high demand. Sooner or later, some idiot will overpay, but only if you make him think others will match his price. In KJs case, the most likely scenario is for him to sit out another couple of months, then sign with a good team for whatever that team will pay. But until then, talking himself up is his best chance to get that big payday. I doubt its going to happen, but its smart to try.

So yeah, he might still be a Jet. After all, if Baker doesn't show anything in camp, we don't exactly have another big, tall recieving threat over the middle. Nobody legitamite, anyway. Maybe some scrubs we've picked up, I don't pay the camp fodder much attention.

If we have the cap room to pay him for one year, why not? There's no point in sitting on cap room for one year when you could improve your team with it. I'm not saying to sign him up for multiple years as they could effect the cap long term, but for one year, why not?

some guys are cocky and back there talk up and some guys just talk because theres really nothing behind them or shall i say inside of them.. thats how i feel about keyshawn i mean some may feel like he is a good receiver.. but i think when he won that superbowl ring he was on the right team at the right time in tampa bay..

A guy like Michael Irvin or Shannon Sharpe who talked alot of smack but the sure backed it up as well.. Keyshawn is a over sized cry baby!!! His book Just throw me the dam ball show have a squeal called "just shut up and play" or "put up or shut up"

I can't wait to hear the 'team-player' song he's singing once he realizes nobody is going to pay him what he wants.

Whatever a team pays him it'll end up being a one and done anyway. No team is probably going to want/need him for more than one season, and they certainly aren't going to pay him, especially at an escalating rate.

Honestly I feel like these players now a days are not cut from the same cloth as old school players.... me personally i would ride the pines all day long for a bare minimum salary of $300 G's but these players get on average milions of dollars per year and complain.. they need to quit complaining

Dont they get a pension after like 7-8 years playing then get money cut from the jersey sales then get money from any other type of side endorsements then if you make the hall of fame you get a certain amount of money per year. He is a big cry baby and is unappreciative

There's a reason why his next team will be his 4th team in 5 years.

It’s a joke – someone will sign him for a big back loaded contract and cut him after a year or two before he gets to the big money.

These guys are so cocky with the money…they just have to hear a big number even know deep down they have to know they’ll never see half of it.

He had a chance to prove himself in Carolina whwn Smith went down , He is , was and always has been OVERRATED.

I couldnt stand him in a Jets Uniform and would be really dissapointed in this staff if they even considered him a possibility

He's not a #1 receiver anymore. Early in his career maybe he was but not anymore - he's too slow. He does still have great hands, a big frame and greate athleticism. If we could plug him into our #3, that would be a HUGE upgrade.
