I guess that's what you get when you lie to your players and bring in a selfish old has-been.

The situation in Minny will be bad... I predict Favre will play really bad...

It will be funny to watch. It's even funnier that Minnesota didn't learn a thing from what happened here last year. The NYJ were winning despite Favre, the rest of the team never supported Favre, Favre acted bigger than the team and it all unravelled at the end when Favre fucked up. It will probably be the same situation this time just twice as extreme.

The Vikings should be known as the "Purple Jets" or "GangPurple"

does anyone find the word "purple" weird?

I wonder what kind of odds you can get on Tavaris jackson leading the vikings in passing yards, I wouldn't mind putting some money on that.

Well it was bound to happen but I figured it'd take a few losses in the regular season to really hit home.

This could get real ugly real fast.

^ Well – with Favre’s spectacular record in domes; that one for example…I don’t see them losing many home games. Oh wait…that’s right…Favre has been horrible in domes his entire career; anyone think about that before they unretired that dusty old fart?

I don't thin Favre has all that much to do with this. It says these issues were there long before Favre was. It might just be a dysfunctional locker room.

I hear it's the leading color to make the dolphins alternate jerseys.

Actually no. Schefter just reported again last night that there are separate factions in the locker room and they are split amongst the Tavaris Jackson camp and the Favre camp.

Even moreso, he also reported that most people tend to side with Tavaris Jackson and Favre is going to have to "prove" himself in order to win back a majority of the team.

This has everything to do with Favre.

I really don't see Favre getting pulled out and having Jackson replace him. I just don't see it happening, no matter how bad he fucks up. You don't bring someone in for $12 mil for 1 year and then sit him halfway through.

Also, if in the unlikely chance that Favre does get benched, I fully expect him to just quit the team alltogether.

they're talking about it now on ESPN, calling it a "developing story".

According to Rachel Nichols, some are warming up to him because he gets the training sessions shortened.

But the woman talking with Nichols said "Unlike the Jets, the Vikings are a team with Super Bowl potential."

    I disagree.

I guess her argument is that it'll all be different for Favre this year. He only fell apart last year because his team sucked and he had to do it all on his own.

Well, winning solves everything. If they win, and Brett stays healthy they'll be fine. A few losses early and as others have noted; it could get ugly.

I'm surprised Tarvaris has so much support at this point, especially considering the talk about shipping him out of town.

"I've seen the same reports you've seen," Childress said. "Those are opinions. It's hard to shoot holes in an opinion. It's just that -- an opinion. I certainly don't see it."

Brad Childress obviously never argued with nyjunc.

Something tells that this may cost Brad Childress his job.
