The originally scheduled game on NBC for Week 13 is Giants-Redskins. The other games between two potential playoff teams include:

    Titans-Colts
    Broncos-Chiefs
    Bengals-Chargers
    Dolphins-Jets

Is there a chance the Jets get flexed into the night game? The Broncos and Chiefs are playing each other on Sunday night in Week 11, so I would peg that as the least likely game. Between the other three potential flexes, I think Dolphins-Jets is the closest matchup, but Titans-Colts could be a game where the Titans establish themselves as potential division champions. I admittedly don't know all of the rules on the flex scheduling, so maybe they'll keep the NFC East matchup? What do you guys think?

CBS is not going to want to let go of Dolphins-Jets.

I think the Week 17 game at the Dolphins is going to get flexed into the night spot... Game should and probably will have serious playoff implications.

Does it mean anything that they also have the Week 17 game in Miami?

    They're going to protect Broncos-Chiefs.

Eagles-Cowboys could be for the NFC East title, which would probably get precedence over a battle for the #6 seed in the AFC. If it isn't and Jets-Miami is important the latter game could be flexed in. I wonder if they would do that if they flex the earlier Jets-Dolphins game in?

Of course, I hope the game means nothing because the Dolphins completely collapse from the whole Incognito-Martin mess.

KC Denver was already flexed there once, so I don't think it'll be again.
I just checked, and they're also scheduled vs the Pats the following week. So our game is very possible.

I would've said the Broncos-Chiefs hands down. But now that you're saying they're already being flexed in Week 11 then the Jets-Dolphins should have a good shot at that game. A NY team playing in prime time is a ratings windfall for the networks.

The Redskins and Giants are big teams with big names and both are technically still very much in the NFC East hunt. That will NOT be moved.

I don't see us being flexed compared to the other potentials. Besides, we all know how we generally fair on national televised games. No thank you.

Uhhh, Week 17 never has night games or MNF. It gives all teams a more even chance for resting and preparing for the playoffs. Honestly I see the Chiefs Broncos game getting flex before ours, UNLESS, The Jets are 7-4 and phins keep winning as well.

Didn't they always flex a night game on Week 17? We played the Bengals back in 09 on SNF. The Cowboys lost to the Redskins last year. There has never been a MNF game on Week 17 but there is always a SNF game that is always meaningful.

There is a real chance the Jets/Phins game could be flexed for week 17. While it is still ridiculously early to call anything come Week 17, only the PHI/DAL(Might be for all the marbles in the NFC East?), and GB/CHI(Fight for NFC North or a wildcard spot?) games could be the final regular season game of the year.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot that they usually wait until the end so they can get a game with PO implications.

You think more people want to watch Broncos-Chiefs than Rex vs the Fin Funhouse?

I suppose I can see your point but with the number of people who want to see Rex with the opponent's foot in his mouth combined with all the Fin madness I think CBS is really going to want that game.

It's a huge East Coast market game and the Broncos and Chiefs not so much.

Peyton Manning will have been on SNF two weeks running at that point. I don't think ESPN is going to want him again back-to-back-to-back.

I could be wrong on that but I think the Rex-Fin thing is just going to be more entertaining at that point. If the Jets aren't winning ESPN doesn't try to flex it but if they are I think the attempt is made and CBS says no.

The other thing of course is that CBS is going to be pissed as hell at no Peyton Manning in the home market for two weeks running. I guess the numbers crunchers would have to look really hard at whether having the Broncos on TV in the Rocky Mountain area makes up the difference in losing the MetLife Fish Bowl.

While I do agree completely, I don't think they turn down the Broncos v. Chiefs. Why? Well not just because of Peyton Manning, but because Manning will be facing a team that is undefeated and could potentially destroy that. They are also in a dog fight for first place and if the Chiefs lose, they will both be tied in first.

I do think Jets v. Dolphins would be more entertaining, but we are biased. A LOT of the country wants to see Broncos v. Chiefs, believe me. I don't think we take that spot. I think Denver will be televised

It's NBC SNF not ESPN MNF that flexes.
