Damn it. We need him on Thursday. Interesting that he passed concussion test during game. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/20...returning_against_buccaneers_with_injury.html
Read this earlier. Not good for us. But hopefully Holmes will be a bit healthier. And Devon McCourty is not Revis.
Looking forward to seeing Spadola step up. Saw him play a bit against the Bucs, and he was able to get open from what I've seen. Gotta watch the game again, but I think if Geno can see him, they'll connect on some nice plays.
sucks kerley is out... gates should see more field time. could be his break out game. kid is going to be our best wideout at some point. maybe now its sooner rather then later. as far as braylon, can we stop it? there is a reason he cant hang on with teams that are desperate for WR help. he is a complete scrub at this point.
Gotta think this could be a good oppurtunity for Spadola to get some looks. It'd be great to see him have an impact against the Pats. From what I've seen of the Pats they certainly look beatable and their D is bend but don't break.
think they should re-sign Obomanu. he knows the offense, can play slot if needed, and will help on special teams. i could be mistaken, but don't recall Spadola playing any slot in preseason. It's possible i guess Holmes could play slot....but i really don't think he's back to normal yet either.
It's a tricky thing here. Obviously we all know he CAN play. It's all a matter of how he is doing mentally over the next 2 days. It's possible he could start, and I expect him to myself. That said it's very possible he will miss the game, but he should be fine for week 3. Earlier, in the pre-season, Coby Fleener was diagnosed with a concussion, but was cleared for contact only a couple days after. So with that in mind, I have hope.
if he gets through the concussion protocol he will play...if he doesn't the jets simply cannot activate him...that's all it comes down to...if this game was being played sunday i think he'd have a shot but to make it through the concussion protocol on 3 days turnaround is not likely realistic. but here's hoping!
Ah man, that hurts. He's somewhat of an old reliable out there. Hopefully some of those guys can step up.
They plugged him into the slot when Kerley went out Sunday, so apparently he isn't unfamiliar with the position.
I agree completely! I thought Ben looked really good in preseason and I believe he could help this team. In disappointed he didn't make the team to begin with.
