http://thejetset.biz/2013/03/27/young-guns-ricky-sapp/ I for one, hope this guy can get some PT this season coming up especially with the lack of linebackers on the NYJs. He's really aggressive and I think he's got some pretty good instincts to make plays on the next level. At this point it's all about getting reps on game-day. With Wilkerson and Coples gardening more attention, we need someone that can win one on one battles to get to the QB. Rex Ryan knows how to coach up players, now with Pace and Scott off the roster, it could be Sapp's time to shine with this team. The article goes into more about his ability to play in coverage and run support - so there is a chance he can be a 3-down linebacker at this level, unlike Maybin. Thoughts? He hasn't been brought up much on this board this off-season. The article shows more clips of him in his limited playing time during a regular season game. EDIT - Kudos to the Mod that put the editor's name - completely forgot.
Hopefully he can become a 3-down linebacker. He's got the potential, its all about putting it together. Look at 98 taking up a double team on picture #3.
Yea imagine Q and Mo Wilk when the linebackers actually can make a move unlike Calvin Pace and Bryan Thomas.
