I think the talking helps BAL against NE. They spent so long screwing up games late against NE, that winning that close one in week 3/4 and then walking into NE and just shutting down the Pats in the second half was partly because Suggs and Co all believed NE just got "lucky" and that they were really better. I could be completely wrong though

Its funny how he keeps on coming back to the same argument regarding preferential treatment, even though it has been called out as being factually incorrect multiple times. The "Brady rule" was invented as a response to Carson Palmer's injury. It was even casually referred to as the "Carson Palmer rule" up until Brady's injury, after which dimwits like Suggs carelessly accepted the notion that it was a brand new rule.

Everybody is right! The rule was in place but changes were made to it after the year Brady got hurt.

I "guarantee" a lot of players hate abusive fathers who beat and drag their girlfriends alongside their cars while their kids watch. I find it hard to believe he gives a shit about integrity and it is laughable to hear him speak on it. Idk why anybody sticks a mic in front of this idiot's face

I think we will hear ALOT of stories in 10-15 years from now. Suggs makes it sound like they are running some illegal operation, which wouldnt surprise me at all.

Optimistic view. It would be funny if things came out, but Idon't think anything well because there is nothing.

Exactly. He's staying relevant when the most relevant football is the combine/draft. Ring buys you a year of talking until someone else gets one, but he's always talked so ring/no ring he's gonna talk

BTW, what Suggs is suggesting from his talks with former Pats, has nothing to do with doing "illegal" stuff.

He thinks that behind closed doors the Pats organization and coaches tell the players that they are the best team in football and nobody matches up to them.

That's where the respect thing comes in. In public, the Pats usually say all the right things.

I think he's jealous the Pats and BB don't make a big deal out of him like they do Ed Reed.

Nope, sorry but I'm right and Suggs isn't. Yes, the league did announce a clarification of the rules after Brady's injury, but they didn't actually change anything. If a player in 2007 was blocked to the ground, then lunged at a QB's knees, he was already in violation of the Palmer rule because he tackled below the knees without being blocked into the QB. The league took something that was already forbidden, and simply spelled it out more clearly and specifically. They didn't actually change anything.

im with him on the tuck rule and spygate shit

but like others have pointed out, the knee injury thing wasnt anything new. in fact i remember people talking about how its a shame that happened with the new rules in place or something to that effect.

but fuck the pats. dirty players, dirty organization, dirty coach. everything stinks from where im looking. kraft is a prick, belichick is a cheating scumbag, and brady is a douchebag that whines when things dont go his way.

and no i dont think that he would spill it if he had anything big. its an insider type of thing. unless you are a player, you dont get to hear these types of stories. at least not while these guys are playing right now. expect more stuff to come out after guys retire. thats about all you can expect though i would think.

The same guy who spews inuendo about past shit he has no idea about wouldn't spill it if he knew that the Pats were doing illegal stuff?

    Bullshit!

Haha, I do like me some Terrell Suggs.

You know how the rest of the world hates our country? They pretty much think that America is evil and that we're a bunch of denim-wearing-glutton-freedom-monger-bullies? They burn our flag and effigies of our presidents?

Yeah, this is exactly like that.

No team in the NFL or any sport will ever have a decade of competitiveness and success and not be loathed by everyone else.

And the notion that Suggs (and about a thousand other NFL players) wouldn't immediately spill his guts with information that would hurt the Patriots is kind of ridiculous.

This is probably what he's talking about... this is my interpretation, based on his claim, of the short speech new Patriots get:

"Welcome to New England. We do things different here. You will not say anything negative about any opponents, past or present, to the media. We know we are better than them. We know we will probably win when we play them. There is no need, if we know those things, to start talking to reporters about the other team. Be respectful in your comments in public. On the field, it's a different story. Say what you want. We expect more here, our standards are higher, and if you can help us succeed, you will have a place to play for as long as we can afford to pay you."

Now that's obviously 100% fan speculation, but I'm trying to tie this to Suggs "arrogant pricks" comment. Clearly he thinks the Patriots think they're better than everyone else, and that they tell their players to believe that too.

The only ex-Patriot I can think of on the Ravens is good old James Ihedigbo (sp?). And yeah, real cornerstone of the franchise there....

We have NO CLUE about what Suggs suggested is/was legal, illegal or both.

It could be things like lying about extent of injuries or not disclosing injuries on the injury report, talking to players about contracts when its not allowed in a particular time frame, running practice longer than what is allowed by NFL rules, etc

Or it could be things like players being lied to about whether or not they would use the Franchise Tag on them, contract disputes in general, team fines for what most may feel are unreasonable things, etc

Who the hell knows.....I don't know and neither do you, so its ignorant to say he is or isn't talking about things that are illegal or against NFL Rules.

And BTW.....can anyone see Belichick telling his players "we are so much better than this team or that team" ????? He is known to keep his players grounded and to not inflate egos.....so why the hell would some speculate this happens???? By arrogant I can see stuff like during games Belichick saying "30 something points on the best D, suck my dck" or btching about flags more than most.......but not Belichick blowing smoke up McCourty, Woodhead, Edleman's asses, etc.......that's not how you keep your team grounded and focused.
