Practically the only way into the stadium is going to be bus and train in which you will be put through security before even getting on the bus or the train. No tailgates either for whatever cars do get through. You can't even get dropped off and try to walk to the stadium, nothing.

Parking/leaving is already a mess at the stadium. I wonder if this has more to do with security? This might be the most miserable SB to attend ever.

lol if this is the situation then why did the NFL even give NY the Super Bowl? I thought the idea was for fans to have a good experience.

    Could be worse

They could have chosen Sucksboro with a two lane one horse road for entry/exit, parking in unpaved, rat infested garbage dumps and no escalators

Who would anyone want to tailgate in a blizzard anyway?

    jk...

It's a smart move on everybody's part. Mass transit can handle the load, it'll be like rush hour on a Sunday.

As to why the Super Bowl was awarded to the NY/NJ metro area: just because. You can't let things like security and weather become the only factors in play for big events. Watching the wimp bowls in warm weather every year is boring as hell.

They also encourage teams to build around just a QB and a few weapons. When you play in weather you need to have a team to win the game.

The writing is right there for you guys on the wall. It's possible it won't be long before they institute the same policies for Jets/Giants home games.

It might take a couple years, and maybe some overblown media sensationalized incident, but they will pull the "we already had the model in place, the successful security measures of Super Bowl 48" and bam - welcome to the modern age of the NFL experience.

I won't be able to afford to go to the game anyway so it doesn't concern me but how do they manage this security thing in other cities? I thing it is similar no?

There are plenty of places to get drinks before going to Metlife Stadium. Take your ass to Hoboken then take the train to the Stadium.

I hope you are right...Idk though, I could see them pulling this off to a somewhat lesser, cheaper degree in the future.

This is a NY Super Bowl thing. It's being done because the Boston Marathon bombing reminded everybody that some places are bigger targets than others and that special events can be particularly big targets for troublemakers.

It's more likely that future Super Bowls will follow this model once it is established than that Jets and Giants home games will.

Did you watch the games this past weekend in the harsh elements?

Btw the idea of playing in the weather doesn't bother me. It is the excessive limitations like no tailgating that seem ridiculous.

I wouldn't concern myself overly much with whether the Dolphins will be playing the Super Bowl in harsh weather.

So my idea of being dropped off at the hotel across the street and walking is out too... you cannot walk in.

Al Roker is awesome. Idk why you consider him a douche. He changed his life completely from being morbidly obese to very healthy. And it all started with him pooping his pants at the White House. That's some story :shit:
