I actually thought Bowles did a nice job at the end of the game from a management standpoint.

You need to have confidence that your offense can pick up a 4th and 5 in that situation. Plus he got the ball back with plenty of time.

The secondary announcer was talking out of his ass. Why wouldn't you go for it with 3 minutes left, at the 40, with only 2 timeouts left? Made himself sound like an idiot.

Once again the right call by Bowles...once again the offense cannot pick up a few yards on 4th

    What can you do

If Bowles punted the criticism would have been the same in the other direction. I was alright with the call

Idk what Gannon was talking about trying to compare it to last week. I think he thought the Jets were in FG range at first, then realized that they weren't a decided to keep going on his tirade instead of admitting that he made a mistake

I'm 100% fine with going for it, but my problem is this ---

If you know you're going 4 downs, and you set up a 2nd and five, can you run the fucking ball ONCE????
You have 3 plays to pick up 5 yards ... I absolutely run on 2nd and/or 3rd if I already know I'm going for it.

I agree with this for the situation last week but come on man...we gotta throw to win and drive down the field and we couldn't pick up a couple yards

    Just bad execution

Not like the run game was doing anything though. This OL can't run block without Mangold in there

edit: I don't think you're wrong just have a different opinion. I'd seen enough TFLs before that

Gannon, who I thought was a good QB, was loathed by his Raider teammates ...I forgot which OL from that team said as much...but he said it took a lot of focus to block for a guy you couldn't stand

You know the season is teetering on dumpster fire when Gannon covers your game

Why does it seem like Gannon I'd the guy covering the MAJORITY of our games?

I can stand his ability to call a game. He drives me nuts, I feel like just watching the game on mute because of him.

Rich Gannon does not like the JETS...period. The fact that he was a QB and had zero clue that taking a sack was the best option for the Texans yet, all he kept saying was throw it away ...throw it away

..and he's always like that during JETS games...

Talking about what teams need to do for us to lose...all game.

No..asswipe take the sack and keep the clock running..

ZERO CLUE and a former NFL QB...

It's more like he has NO confidence in his defense. You can tell from his half-baked explanation about being afraid of getting the ball back with thirty seconds left. Well you did stop them and got the ball back with two minutes left.

Just like last week I had less of an issue going for it than I did with who the ball went to on the play. If you're going to go down go down with your best.

I was fine with going for it there. The end result wasn't much worse than a bad Quigley punt anyway. The problem I had was the target. Fitz seemed intent on throwing to Smith no matter the coverage. Gotta believe Marshall, Decker or a pass to Powell out of the backfield were 3 better options. Or hey, how about Kerley instead of the guy, for whatever reason, is NOT ready to perform at the level necessary to contribute to this team.
