Man, that was a hard fought win. A very hard fought win. The defense was gassed early (team conditioning may warrant it's own thread), but the offense was able to carry us to the win. Another brilliant game from Sanchez, too. This boy is really starting to play some ball. Now, about all those mental mistakes....
Slauson made me angry. Slauson made the entire Jets fanbase angry. Other than that, a very good game for Sanchez and company.
The defense got it's ass kicked in this game until the last play. I have a feeling we're going to run hot and cold for the season if the injury problems persist.
This was one of the most hard fought wins I've ever seen. Great game for the team even with the mistakes.
Honestly tho, these are the types of games that championship teams win. Not saying we're there yet but that was a tough environment and the team responded really well. Our defense was awful all game and we still won.
Division games are always crazy. Take the W and don't ever look back. Penalties need to get ironed out but it's easier to deal with when they get the win. If they are serious about the superbowl they will need to get that taken care of though.
Next time we see 'em we'll have healthy Revis and healthy Pace. The Dolphins will have Odrick back and I guess Crowder too.
We know our D will have bad days but how great is it to say that our offense carried us through the game? All the Sanchez haters can eat crow!
I liked our offense. Sanchez, Keller, Edwards, Smith, and LT did their parts. Our defense was not on point. What is killing us is those penalties.
Would anyone else really like to know where Keller went after the first half? Great blocking but Schotteneheimer kept giving him that bullshit short drag route until the fade into the endzone where he was standing right next to Edwards. Why would you want to routinely take a proven weapon away from Sanchez?
He had a couple of series where the play calling was really terrible, but he did call a decent game overall. The more complicated things get the less good the Jets offense is. He should stick to the basics with the talent he has on hand.
The Defense looked like AFC Championship "2nd Half" all over again and the Offense went all ape shit on the Phins. Great job Sancho and company.
Hell yeah it was a great win, mistakes or no At first it looked like a laugher, but Miami really has a good squad. They pulled it together and really attacked. Hard fought victory if I ever saw one, and a win these Jets can hang their hat on.
It took him a while to figure it out. All he has to do is line up and play. The QB and his weapons will take care of the rest.
Schotty's still calling the offense as if it's 2006. I hope he's starting to realize the 2010 squad is good enough to just line up and play.
Is it just me or does every time the Jets line up in Trips bunch with 3 WO's we all KNOW they are going to run? IMO they need to pass more in that formation and then they can run it.
Imagine running in full pad in the hot, humid Miami weather for 3 hours. Remember, Miami is not Jets' home. I was really afraid the defense would lay a giant egg tonight. They didn't - and came away with an important win. It was good all around.
