after a big catch or a TD...where he got down low and moved his arms like a mofo'in lighting bolt or dagger or spear or something. whatever it was, it wasn't too fancy but looked real cool. They used it a lot in preview clips for games for the rest of last season. I didn't like Coles as much the first time around on this team but I absolutely love and appreciate his toughness and after the catch will. It's shown in 2:43 of the Jets vs Miami preview on the Official site.
Coles is one of the toughest players in the game today, and it was great that we got him back... he has really made an impact on this team and helps set an example for the rest of our players...
HAH! Chad looked boxy and doofy, for sure. I would run if I had to dance with him at a social function, no question.
I love having coles back, Moss would never go across the middle 100% commited, coles doesnt think about the hit he is just thinking make the catch.
http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/multimedia/ just go there and watch "2007 Jets vs. 'Fins Preview' and he does the dirty dagger at 2:43 or so. Coles baby.
It looked like he was trying to swim with a paralyzed left leg for cryin' out loud! Run and be afraid.
did you read reports that teammates made fun of Chad for spiking the ball after running in a TD during a scrimmage at training camp? why didn't anyone make fun of Peyton when he did that vs. the Jets last season? oh right....cause he's peyton.
Or maybe because it was during a scrimmage at training camp, rather than during a game that actually meant something?
Haha, I kid because I love. Sure it got everyone worked up. But we were all laughing like hell just the same. It was a combination of being excited and everyone immediately imitating that 'Egyptian' thing. What a dork. But he's OUR dork. Good stuff. I forget what game it was during the '04 season when Chad flexed his arms after a sweet first down pass. It was an away game. That was great. And of course there's always this... Hehe.
but this was just plain pretty. i've never seen a QB do a headfake...maybe that's why the dude fell for it.
That was after throwing the 50 yard bomb TD to Moss in the 2004 playoff game against the chargers. He was looking at the QB coach when he did the flex. I thought it was a thing of beauty when I saw it in person, but when I saw it on ESPN it was a thing of pure beauty.
