In the 4th round, with the 110 overall pick, the Giants trade up to draft Ryan Nassib, QB.

Is this just to get some backup Qb depth? They got him at a pretty good value, IMO.

Yep, good to get a young man to develop behind Eli. Nassib gets to be in NY with 0 pressure for a few years. Learn the system and correct some mechanics while collecting an NFL paycheck. That's a nice gig right there.

They could even potentially turn him around for a 2nd or 3rd pick in a few years. I'm just not sure why they traded up for this guy.

Eli will still be the NYG starter when Nassib's rookie contract ends. Unless they plan to flip him to a team like Arizona I see this as a dumb move.

If I was him I'd be so pissed off right now.

He's a big trade chip later on if they could showcase him in a way in the preseason the next two years to have teams willing to give up picks for him...(Ryan Mallet)

I can't say I love taking a QB, but I love the value of this pick.

Yes, the Jets way of taking shots in the dark and hoping a franchise QB falls from you out of thin air is the way the Giants should do it.
