The game is over, the jets are 0-1, we have to move on. Yes they sucked today and there was no positives, everything about our play sucked, now lets look to next wk. Remember the goal was to come out of the first 2 games 1-1 at all costs. So now next wk, in my mind atleast, becomes a must win. The pats have to play the chargers, so the entire afc east can easily be 1-1 next wk and it would be like a fresh start. The main focus: Beating baltimore on the road and is chad gonna play? We have to wait to hear about chad's injury and how serious it really is then go from there. This team has to regroup and play well next wk. Chad actually had a decent game, everyone else sucked it up, we need to run well, stop the run, and get to the QB and I think 1-1 after next wk can happen.
All games are winnable. But personally, the last thing I am confident about is to back-back divisional games.
Miami and the Giants are good shots at a win. @Buffalo is a coin-flip when the Jets are good and a loss when they are not.
chad played well today...1 positive. next week is gonna suck. and if we dont get our OL and defnese on track miami and buff will win.
Only if Miami and Buffalo win next week. The Bills just lost and Miami are about to if Washington keeps a good drive going a little longer...
Yup which is even better. MIA and BUF losing are 2 perks in this. With NE playing the chargers next wk, we MUST beat baltimore.
There was at least 1 positive from today. A good drive from an injured chad. He's definitely our starter at the moment. Clemens would be eaten alive by that stupid O-Line.
folks..... i would NOT be banking W's that far out right now..... this team is weak in the trenches and there is nothing else on this team that can make up for it. jil
I'm sure it was just ventilation, but you gave up on the game pretty early RobA. But whatever, it's done with. Baltimore is not going to be easy this week. Even if we beat the Pats, Baltimore would still be a tough game. The defense and O-line need to practice this week, and practice hard.
It was more than ventilation. Watching the way the jets played in the first half, especially on defense, let me know at 14-7 that is was basically over. With the pats getting the ball back especially. The jets couldn't stop the run, get to the QB at all, or play well in pass coverage. So it was pretty obvious unless we scored alot, the pats would go right through us almost everytime they had the ball unless we forced turnovers (which we didn't).
what makes anyone think this team can beat the Bills and Dolphins? Those 2 played some competitive games today vs no push overs.
Exactly. Next week is another big, strong defense to give our line fits. I predict more uglyness and I'm not happy about it. We need to start winning those battles soon.
Good Point, This ship can sink very very fast. I know this was not going to be a good year 8-8 or 9-7. But with are schedule and they way things were just played out on "D-fence & O-fence. Were in trouble and if you think after Baltimore we have a shot your crazy. I may back it off to 4 to 5 wins.
Our lines still stink, we couldn't stop the run last year or run the ball and we still can't. I don't understand why the front office decided that we were pretty much set on the lines and didn't do anything to improve them.
I hope this is a question we are only asking for this season. You absolutely cannot win in the NFL without good offensive and defensive lines. It never happens.
I think some of you guys have the Jets ranked better than they actually are. We dominated the Jets 2x last year, so stop counting us as a win!
