I THOUGHT THEY PLAYED GREAT TODAY. WHAT A DIFFERENCE KRIS JENKINS MAKES, THEY FINALLY CAN STOP THE RUN. ELLIS, CALVIN PACE, LOWERY, REVIS, HARRISS, ETC....I THINK WERE GOING TO ENJOY THIS YEAR GUYS....

Rather, look at it as how Pennington puts a bind in the entire offense...

Yup...This Defense is improved, thats for sure.

We now have a true 3-4 type of defense with David Harris in the middle, Pace and Thomas/Gholston rushing from the outside with Jenkins holding down the D-Line as our 3-4 NT...Thats a lot better than last year when we had Robertson in as our 3-4 "NT", Robertson was always a 4-3 DT TRYING to play the role of a 3-4 NT, it was clear to see. Vilma was always a 4-3 MLB and just couldnt get the job done as a 3-4 IMLB and Hobson was, well, Hobson...

I really like our front 7 this year with Coleman, Jenkins and Ellis on the D-Line. They all fit solid. We have LB's who can get after the QB in Pace, Harris, Bryan Thomas and Vernon and it looks like Barton has another season left in the tank.

But the best part about this Jets defense is the young secondary! I became a believer after todays game when I seen Dwight Lowery making plays! With Revis, Lowery and Rhodes...If healthy...We can have one of the better secondarys in the game. All in all, we are much improved over the past years.

For the 1st time ever...Mangini actually has "His players" Mangini now has a 3-4 Defense that should continue to get better over the years.

Thomas and Pace had excellent games as did Lowry and Revis. Cheers to all you know-nothing knuckleheads who wanted to see the teams current sack leader, Bryan Thomas, cut. Ignorance is bliss except for the rest of us that have to put up with it.....

Well said! Bravo for pointing out the true problem with the whiners. The rest of us have to put up with their nonsense. There is a difference between being realistic and just being a whiner!

Much Improved. Jenkins is the force in the middle we were lacking and Pace and Gholston look like there legit at getting to the QB (Gholston didnt have a sack but he forced pressure) and Bryan Thomas is back from a year of chillin in ghost town and he's back to being the wildabeast he REALLY is.
