Mods, I don’t know if this needs to be merged but keeping Wilkes as a coordinator of the defense is a serious insult to the players and especially to the loyal fans. Un- freaking acceptable. I am livid. This has been the worst defense I have seen from the Jets from as long as I can remember. Mister AG needs to send a strong message for a change with actions not words, that is massively unacceptable. A disgraceful embarrassment. No freaking player wanting to win will consider coming here.
Atleast the last defensive HC had an elite Defense, I don't give a fuck what Glenn is, if he can't help with this defense then they should both go. I've never seen a defensive minded HC come to a team and then the entire defense goes completely in the shitter. Makes 0 sense, Glenn truthers be damned but I will pound the drum till he's gone, he's a disgrace of a HC and brings absolutely nothing to the table.
The Defense has given up, Aaron Glenn/Wilkes has lost the defense, it's not possible that a man is open every play with no defender in site every single play in the Nfl unless your defense has given up on you. Every single play the defender catches the ball and has 30 yards to run, they ain't running out there but jogging. It's like they are doing this intentionally to make a point. The player's are playing uninspired/unmotivated, It's like they don't give a f or care and are there to just collect a check, that is as much on the coach as it is on Wilkes.
Glenn should go too, he's completely useless. Bowles and Saleh at least knew how to coach defense, Glenn can't even do that. The last time the Jets had a coach who couldn't even coach his side of the ball was Adam Gase, and yes I just went there.
I agree with you guys. AG has not gotten involved with the D at all, putting his thumbprint in it, and if he did, then he is no better than Wilkes.
Fireable offense for Wilks or does than entail to Glenn as well? I am done with both. Actually, after Bowles, Saleh and Glenn, I am done with all the first time Head Coaches coming from the defensive side. Time to change the rhetoric. Go after a hot shot offensice coordinator for once.

Firing Wilkes won’t fix anything. The HC will just hire another inept DC to take his place. The entire staff, minus Banjo, should be fired as soon as they return to the team facilities tonight.
Yeah Glenn hasn’t been very good but I’m at peace with him not getting fired. He’s here in 2026 regardless. There’s no reason to bring Wilks back though.
I was ok with the premise of hiring yet another 1st time DC, with the assumption the defense would at least be ok. The D has been abysmal, and it was even with Q and Sauce on the field...

The only Jets coaches with a lower win % than AG are Rick Kotite, Ken Ship (coached 5 games) and Mike Holovak (coached 1 game).
I mean, Glenn is a defensive guy. Wilkes has to be going to him with the game plan and Glenn thinking it's a good idea right? Every time the game starts I'm wondering if Glenn knew they had a game on sunday. I suppose you give Glenn at least one more year but if he keeps Wilkes next year I'm guessing it will be his last
Thinking about our NFL worst turnover differential of -17 I was looking at past seasons and while there are a few cases of teams ending the season with a worse record (with the Browns (of course) topping the list for the past decade or so with -28 in 2017) it is still a really bad performance (and still time for it to get even worse) - what was striking was in the last 12 years the Jets have had a positive turnover differential precisely once (and what is interesting is teams that you think of as being generally well run like the Steelers and Packers only had a negative differential once each in that same timeframe). 2025 -17 2024 -2 2023 -6 2022 -7 2021 -13 2020 0 2019 -4 2018 -10 2017 -4 2016 -20 (worst in NFL) 2015 +6 2014 -11
This is yet another example of us not doing things most of the league has been doing for years. In particular, I mean punching the ball out. I don't see our players ever try to do it. Either our players are too dumb to think to do it or our coaches are not telling them to.
