With several of our holes filled with quality FA acquisitions, and our draft prospects, I litterly cannot fuckn' wait until the start of preseason. I've been on the edge of my seat since the start of FA, and I haven't felt this excited in a long time. Granted, we've had better teams in the past, but this is the first time in a while that I feel we really have what it takes to compete. Ahhh. I'm fired up!
I'm with you, I can't wait until the draft. How great is it going into a season not expecting the Jets to be a below .500 team!!!!!!!!!
I really can't wait either, hopefully we can start out with a win next year to get the train rolling. I am disappointed as I will be missing the first 5 hours of the draft due to a track meet. So I am considering either skipping the part that I will miss or taping it and watching the draft overnight.
Been a Jets fan long? The ‘I can’t wait’, hope and optimism for the upcoming season usually starts in December of the previous year.
Man am I fired! Can't remember a year since Keyshawn draft and '99 that I looked forward to more. Nice to be in a good position for the draft this year following a strong free agency. I usually try get there every 2 years but f*ck it I'm coming over this year!!
i've been counting down to the draft since october.hoping i can wait till febuary to start the next countdown
Honestly, I am looking forward to training camp, while our moves in F/A look to be very good with promise to repair many of the faults we saw last year. There still remains questions that will only be answered by the OTA's and training camp. We have seen other clubs go out and sign many stand alone free agents to improve there clubs only to have them pulling in many different directions and not living up to the FA billing. The Redskins are a classic example of this formula and then saw the whole F/A plan fall apart when they tried to put all the pieces together. This will be the key to this whole spending spree, that is the abaility to make all the new players both F/A's and draftees work together in the system that Mangini and Schott want to run. Right now it looks very promising because the areas of upgrade were mainly along the lines with the skilled spots QB, WR, RB, TE, LB's CB's safetys remaining from last year. I can only hope that will the addition of B, Callahan to work the O line and hopefully Mangini being more involved in the D early and helping Sutton this whole plan comes together. Yet, till I see these results I will not let my hopes get to high. After all, I have been a Jets fan for over 40 years and in that time my heart has harden to prevent breaking....
now that we filled the holes we were supposed to fill we now have so much leverage and possibilities in the upcoming draft, i wonder who we are getting in the first round, makes you wonder, hmmmmmm.... i can take a guess, but i wont.
Can't wait ???? Come on. This is always the best part of the year for the Jets. Savor the hope and fantasy before reality comes crashing back in September !!
