As you find different predictions just put them in this thread. I just found from ESPN's Gene Wojciechhowski

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=4439322&sportCat=nfl

    His AFC East predictions

    1. Pats
    2. Dolphins
    3. Bills
    4. Jets

    AFC Flop Honarable mention
    27. JETS

    BOLD prediction
Matthew Stafford will have a better rookie season then Mark Sanchez

Seems like a Jet hater. I remember him always predicting the Jets to lose last year too in the ESPN week by week picks.

What is so BOLD about thinking the #1 overall selection will have a better season than the #5 overall?

its not, but it seems highly uninformed.

Stafford may not start, but he does have C. Johnson if he does.

    Gee..I don't know...That the #5 is the opening day starter....and the #1 is stuck behind...Daunte Culpepper?

Jesus wow he thinks the Jets are going to suck. Good heavens.

1.) Based on history he could be correct. Sanchez, a rookie QB, has yet to throw a pass in the regular season and KC sucks. So the Jets are still a question mark at the most important position like it or not.

2.)They are also going to miss their best Pass rusher for 4 games.

3.) The Jets #2 CB sucks balls so far.

4.) The Jets look woefully undisciplined.

5.) Their depth is lacking on the OL and a little on DL.

6.) On paper they have a very difficult schedule.

So what this dipshit says could very well be true.

Personally, I think he can fuck himself but he can be right. Will he? My guess is he will be partially correct. #2-3-4-5 really worry me.

I really think Sanchez will be ok this year. By ok I mean he is going to throw more TD's then INT's but not by a huge margin. He is also going to get better as the season progresses and be the offensive leader by seasons end. Better yet I think he is gong to continue to buck the trend that states rookie QB's are usually atrocious. I am optimistic about the Jets finally getting their QB. We shall see........

Also I think Sanchez is going to be the better of the 2 between Stafford and himself. Mainly on the points made by Bradwaysux in another post. Again, we shall see.

No respect for the Jets , what a shock. I'm a realist and see many paths that we could go down this year. tight games squeaking out wins by a score or less or loosing them by the skin of our teeth. We will be competitive and stronger teams might beat us. I'm not expecting a super bowl run , but think we can be competitive and after that anything is possible.

Last in the AFC east is Bullshit! I can safely say Brady will be rusty and more susceptible to being sacked and the errant pass here and there. Chad will throw his lollipops and be easy to defend against , just stop the run. Edwards Looked like a good QB coming out , but has fallen off ; I cant wait for T.O's first hissy fit! We can contend and win this division. ... Wait I said I'm a realist....And I am!

I think just about every team has a difficult schedule. Their is such a balance in the league. The only team I've seen with a cake walk schedule is the Vikings for the first 6 weeks. They'll probably go 5-1 minimum. After that is gets rough too.

So if he said Sanchez will have a better rookie season than Stafford he would be a Lions hater?

no...but in a wide open race for 2nd place(jets, fins, bills) he picks the Jets to finish last. then he says the jets are his honorable mention for AFC Flop team. then he says Stafford will be better then sanchez. I'm just combing the stuff and based on him always predicting the Jets to lose every week last season I say he's a Jet hater.

Well this is a guy who picked Jackonsville to win the AFC South, I wouldn't take anything he says seriously.

    27. AFC flop honorable mention

New York Jets -- Flop is probably too harsh of a word for the Jets. They're just not going to win nine games again. I like the defense, but worry about the offense.

That is not a "Jet hater" statement. That is the truth. Get a grip.

The "truth"? One idiot's opinion about how the next 16 weeks might pan out is worth about as much as a bucket of warm spit.

I'll gladly take penalties if we play super agressive defense. What did discipline do for us under Mangini. I think he had had our Dline count 10 Mississippi's before they could rush the QB. Penalties on the O are another story though.

This is more than 1 persons opinion. This is a honest to god fact. The offense is, AT BEST, shaky. Rookie QB+No top line WR+shaky OL.

Ya, we are Super Bowl bound boys!

Well, the OC hasn't changed so if there is a lack of discipline on the offense it is all on Schottenheimer.

Why r u so pessimistic? Did u not see the offense in preseason? Sanchez looks even better than Favre did all last yr except against cards n titans. Yeah I know its just preseason, but hey, its just preseason n he looks this good. That argument is baseless. I like our offense. Actually I like the O better than our D mainly due to a couple of susp. Leon, cotch, Keller, OL n Sanchez. Theres nothing to hate about it.

Besides the schedule will be equally tough for all AFC E teams. Our rookie HC sounds better than mangini. Theres nothing to dislike about the Jets IMO.

Heres ESPN's full Jets team preview

All 14 """"EXPERTS"""" picked us to finish 3rd or 4th. The consensus was 4th place.

    Our top 5 players are

    1. Jenkins
    2. Revis
    3. Rhodes
    4. Harris
    5. Scott

None are close to being elite players according to scouts inc. The top 3 are rated 80 which is the lowest possible score for an outstanding player. So basically the scouts inc says we have no good players, just a bunch of solid starters based on the evaluations.

I look at it this way...

At least by setting the bar so low if we do suck it's not like those clowns in Bristol can rip us... honestly I think we'll at least split with Buffalo and Miami. I'm guessing 7-9 wins is what we'll have. I don't know if 7-9 would qualify us as a flop being we'd probably pick the 15-19 range with that record.
