My brother texted me saying he read in the paper that the whole secondary except for Strickland had a full practice yesterday, and that everyone should be a go. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
They are likely out- http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/10/ny_jets_backfield_banged_up_he.html Star-Ledger via twitter- "CBs Sheppard and Strickland not practicing this morning. Will get official word later, but smart money is on neither playing"
Someone posted on another forum that 1050 just reported that Sheppard is going to play Sunday. I didn't hear it so who knows-
From Star Ledger Beat Writer on twitter- "jets lito sheppard just told me he's going to new orleans and could be available for "emergency" situation. definitely won't start." link http://twitter.com/ManishMehta1
If Ltio is only available in an emergency and Stricland is out I would think the Jets are going to strongly consider signing Ivy. Although it would be hard to imagine him being ready in time for Sunday's game even though he knows Rex's system.
They're not going to cut Coleman when CB is the need. Coleman actually played relatively well last week, is familiar with the system, and is a CB that the Jets seem to be able to count on. He's not going anywhere. If anyone is going to get cut, it'll likely be Pitoitua, who would land on the PS. Fowler could be a possibility as well.
Pitoitua has potential. I wouldn't cut him. Fowler though I would (who is he anyway?) A rotation of Revis, Sheppard, Strickland, Ivy, Coleman wouldn't be bad.

Did you click the link?? This is the Jets beat writer and is at the practice facility. Do you think I want this to be true? They're out, it sucks but true.
Coleman will have a break out game this wk. He will keep his WR under 100 yards and less than 2 TDs. Guaranteed!
