That is usually a sign of lack of team unity, or players not expecing, or wanting to be expected to make big plays. Did you see Bryan Thomas' reaction and the teams' reaction after his sack? Spiritless! Screw a qb controversy! I want to win now! i dont care who plays, they can sign Vince Young for all i care as long as management shows that they care about winning. Revis showed emotion, nobody on offense shows any emotion. Harris looks like he is distant, the big silent type! We need emotional leadership, whats up with Davis? Every rookie might as well get a shot because these veterans have not established a winning spirit, and the rookies are feeding off of them, this is probably why we havent found that diamond in the rough.

If they show emotion they are distinctional and a mess if they don't show emotion they dont care. Either way they would catch shit for their actions from fans and the press

Wilson showed plenty of emotion yesterday, but he wasn't allowed to according to most posters here.

What are you going to show down 20+ points? How many people killed Tone last year for doing the first down thing down 14-20 points, even though thats showing emotion and trying to get the team going?

If the Jets showed emotion yesterday, people would complain it was no time for it as they were getting beat them. If they didn't show, well see what I quoted.

Are you serious? Wilson acted like he was actually doing something out there. Every time the QB overthrew his receiver or Wilson pushed him out of bounds after allowing the catch he acted like he was actually doing something to help the team by getting in the receiver's face...he was a complete fool.

I said this last year. Its a clear sign that the Ryan message is falling on deaf ears now in the cliubhouse. He obviously lost the lockerroom last year and he hasnt gotten it back. Ryan is dead in the water

^ there is no discipline, no accountability and no leadership on the offensive side of the ball. This team is a bunch of individuals, you can't win with individuals. If this season continues, where I think it's headed, there will be completely different team in green & white next year (starters, coaches, mgmt).

Wilson was trash talking after getting beat numerous times -- that could have been him trying to build up his own confidence and maybe get in the head of the receiver a bit. If you had Sanchez yelling at a receiver for a bad route you would have heard about it being a chemistry issue, leadership problem, etc.. If you look at replays you can see receivers way to close together in patterns...2 guy 3 yards apart on an out. Guys who don't have the reps, not being precise, creating bad throwing options. Allowing one defender to cover 2 guys isn't the best way to do things.

  8. When did Wilson get beat? He gave up 2 short completions. Other than that he had good coverage all day...why do Jet fans insist upon hating their draft picks?

Wilson was beaten on 4 deep pass patterns where a receiver got a step or more behind him. Smith made lousy throws, but Wilson was torched numerous times.

  10. That's simply not true. He did not get beat deep. is it possible the WR had a step on him?Sure. But he had good coverage on everyone of those deep throws. I was at the game..and where my seats are I see DB coverage better than anything else.

This Wilson bashing is just completely off base. yes the team was horrid yesterday & deserves to be bashed...but Wilson was one of the bright spots & I'll defend that notion till I'm blue in the face

Gotta disagree with you on that. He didn't give up a big play but he was in the position to do so numerous times. Teams will see that and abuse him deep. Expect Houston to take numerous shots at Wilson down the field next week.

^^he was toast on several plays and got lucky not getting called for holding. The only reason they stopped exposing him was bc they were running the ball down our throat.

Even the announcers mentioned Wilson kept getting burned. Thankfully Smith is as accurate as Sanchez.

  14. Wilson gets no apologies when he has good coverage yet still gives up a completion. But when he doesn't give up a completion he still gets bashed.

    It's a double standard & it's embarassing.

He gets bashed because he got beat. Is that too hard to grasp?

  16. Oh no. It's very easy to grasp. He gets bashed b/c he was a first round pick & jet fans want their players to bust. Not hard to grasp at all.

    It's sad, pitiful,self hating & depressive..but not hard to grasp..no.

Why would we want players to be busts? That doesn't make any sense.

You don't draft a future and forever nickle back with your first pick.

Its New York you expect to be competitive and nothing but the best. Its foolish to say that Wilson is a bust. But its also foolish to say hes any good. Hes only had a few games on the outside. but he is a first round draft pick and is expected to be great. not good Great. He continues to get beat. hes a slot corner and thats it.

I defend Wilson a lot, but he was badly beat at least 3 times yesterday where an accurate QB would have connected for a TD.
