Between that and Kerley doing his best Dedric Ward imitation fair catching everything coming his way, I almost destroyed my TV yesterday. The CS and the team found a way to lose yesterday and its very disheartening. Especially after all the bluster and BS Ryan has spewed, this team is no better disciplined on the field today than it was when Ryan took over. They are indeed, "playing like a Jet" and as history has shown, that's not really such a good thing. They still can't put together a plan for Tebow who now is more of a disruption to the Jets than their opponents. They can't put together even a rudimentary 2 min drill. Somewhere along the line, someone convinced Ryan that dropping 8 into coverage will continue to work against Brady even though Brady figured out how to beat it several years ago. BTW, you think Westhoff might have suggested to Kerley to let the damn ball go into the endzone instead of FC'ing everything inside the 10? B'way, yesterday was just about the most annoying loss I've lived thru. I'm not pissed, but damn if I'm not annoyed and just about done with this CS as presently constituted. Hell, if there's a genius on the staff, now would be a good time to step up. So far, all I see is reputations.
Sure. Jets did make some mistakes so they didn't deserve the win. But those mistakes should not have been made, hence they 'should' have won.
That whole play from top to bottom was a joke, and it did make the field goal a lot more difficult, but didn't taking the sack - in essence - help the Jets??? Folk made the kick anyway, and It caused the Patriots a time out. I'm not saying Sanchez had that in mind (or that it was a good idea to) when taking that sack, but maybe he did... The way Brady was gashing the D after the field goal. Maybe its a damn good thing he took that sack because maybe Brady scores a freaking TD with the help of that extra timeout!! (you can't write these kind of crazy scripts!)
