Assuming CMart is going to start the season healthy, then we can look to uload Blaylock... and since JMac is not winning over the coaches we should look to move him somewhere that he might be wanted. Heimerdinger coached him in Tennessee, and I am sure is part of why we brought him to NY so why not bundle JMac and Blaylock in a trade to Denver where Heimerdinger is now an assistant and get Lelie and a low draft pick in return? JMac and Lelie are known mostly for dropping passes, but Lelie has a higher ceiling and could actually become the #1 WR on the Jets roster, with Coles being the possession WR. Just a thought.
Id like to trade them to Tennessee for Chris Brown. He gives us more of an explosive runner quick runner that we dont have on the roster right now
I'm not sure I have ever seen so much love for such a below average WR before.. JMac has a better chance of being cut than traded for anothers teams trash..
I doubt it too... but it seems to me JMac and Blaylock are a waste of two roster spaces. We should look to deal them for another WR, RB or DT.
blaylock is staying and you can't trade something that nobody would want. this isn't that guy on Ebay trading a freakin red paperclip!
We got McCareins the year before Heimerdinger took over as our OC. McCareins was probably one of the most upset when Heimerdinger came here.
Pretty much just "joshing" I know nobody wants them, but I was trying to humor myself by making a far fetched suggestion that I knew would elicit various opinions. Its better than another thread about how good Pennington looked during his 10 passing attempts in practice on Wednesday...
Spot on. If CMart cannot carry the load on his own (which I suspect),then 4 fresh capable RBs showing different formations and attributes is not something I would want to face. Trading Blaylock is a no-brainer. JMac on the other hand still has something to prove to Mangini , and the kick in the pants that hes getting might be enough to bring the best out of him. Still early doors. Trade week 5
I forgot which GG member says this but, we'll trade Blaylock for a case of gatorades for the players and a six pack...
The McCareins bashing is pretty much justified, but why all the hate for Blaylock? Herm gave him no shot towards the beginning of the year last year, and he got hurt for the remainder, so its not like he even had a chance to make an impression. If he can stay healthy and play at his 2004 pre-injury level, I think Blaylock will have a solid year this year as a steadily used backup to Curtis.
