I live in VA and have direct tv with HD programming. Since DC area does'nt offer CBS HD it is broadcast from NY....soooo you can watch the game on channel 80 CBSE in the DC area. Just a heads up to my local JETS fans.

I live in Baltimore, and I have Directv HD as well. How do you get those HD channels in the 80's? I get my local channels in HD, but they dont even work half the time. I dont think they put my dish on correctly. Do you ahve to special order those 80 channels? When I go to those channels, it says I have not purchased them. Thanks

    Nova,

I called and they said they had to request a waiver from NY to get me those channels. They say it takes like 1 month or something.

OK let me make sure I got this straight - I just moved back to Northern VA from KY and dropped DishNetwork for the NFL package (BTW, the DishNet setup is better overall IMO). So I should have all jet games anyway with the NFL package.

Anyway, if I call Direct and ask for the HD channels I would get them for $1.99 anyway?? I assume I would have to get a HD receiver from them (I have 2 DVRs)? I wish I knew this before I switched or I would have stayed with Dish.

Yeah, no doubt!! Is there anywhere around here where Jets fans can get together and watch the game?? I usually hit the local Hooters but there's never Jets fans there.

if you ask for cbse (east) as in from new york you would get it for 1.99 a month. at least that's how I understood it.

Also I feel all the jet fans in the md/va/dc area that don't have directv. I too used to watch the games at the local watering holes and hated being the only in the building. Thankfully the last 2 years have been bliss and my doors are always open on sundays to jet fans. Be warned though I tend to flip thru all the channels if the game is outta hand.

Keep your heads up Jet fans. Make arrangements on here and no longer be the lone jet fan at the bar asking the barkeep "Can you put the Jets game on" If you show up in numbers and have drinking money to spend you won't have to ask!

Sorry I did'nt realize it took so long to get it. I got it over a year ago. It'll be on the NFL network tommorrow at 5pm anyway but it's so much sweeter live.
