Obviously, the Broncos make the most sense. But I can't help but wonder if he'd hear the Jets out. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...king-for-oc-job-and-one-makes-too-much-sense/
hes old as shit but he is amazing at what he does sooooo id say at least give him an interview, have a doc check him out, see if he can make it through the season.
I'm hoping for a young OC. 35 at most. Young heart, full of enthusiasm. Not content with 'dispatching his wisdom' to his staff and letting them run with the ball. I want someone flying around the practice field screaming in players faces.
i agree with this but remember how well tom got mark to play in the redzone when he was here? i think he might be one of those few guys that can fix sanchez
Been there, done that. Too old, already been here, his time has past. The only place Moore could be an OC would be in Denver because his talents are so tailored to Peyton from all those years they spent together in Indy. Even from the article, you could tell he's trying to hawk his services. He's not in demand. I don't even think the Broncos will hire him unless Manning makes a big stink for him. He's a consultant at best, not an OC anymore.
he might be willing to do a one year contract, so he can leave when Rex does. And he might do some good while here.
tom moore looks like an evil genius on the sidelines, i'd be down. he technically did develop peyton right? like peyton was drafted in 1998 and thats when he came in to be OC of the colts although i want younger coaches, i'd be ok with tom moore. if you're going to bring in someone, he'd be the guy
Tom Moore made our redzone offense the most efficient red zone offense in the league with Mark Sanchez at QB. Of course it would be a blessing if this guy were to come to the Jets. Don't know how anyone could be against it.
Compared to all the guys we are looking at he is far and away the best possible guy. I agree, that saying pass on him makes little to no sense. My question would be, "for who?"
If he brings in someone that could eventually take his spot (hire as a QB coach first), I wouldn't mind bringing in Tom Moore as long as we have a long-term replacement for when Moore retires. #1 RZ offense in the NFL with Sanchez and old man Plax. We had a loud obnoxious OC in Tony Sparano, yelling at people n shit and where did that get us?
Since the offseason started how many teams have contacted Moore about their OC openings? If he's in such high demand then surely he's had several suitors in the last 2 weeks.
if tom moore wants to be o.c. than tom moore should be o.c. he understands how todays offense should work. there is absolutely nobody better available
In other words, if the Jets sign Moore it's because he's a washed up has been that no one wants, but if the Jets don't sign Moore it's because they're a circus and Rex Ryan is the suck? Did I get it right?
The very fact we are hearing this must mean the Jets aren't interested (or he wasn't interested in the Jets). I am sure they heard it (and let it go) long before it hit the streets.
Tom Moore announced he wants to be an OC next year about 1 hour ago....Should teams have contacted him under the impression he was not looking to land that job? It would be like teams approaching Mike Westhoff about a ST Coordinator job.
How many teams have been tied to Tom Moore? Zero. You're telling me not 1 team has any interest in him? Fact is, the word just broke that he is in the market.
An older OC is not a bad idea with young QB's. How long do OC's last anyway? 4 seasons maybe if you're lucky?
