Too bad Chads so fragile, we could go with 2 QBs

Given what we saw from Brad Smith on Sat. and during TC to date, it is clear that he can be a playmaker we desparately need. We have'nt even seen him throw a pass as yet, but we know that he played QB well enough in college. If Chad was durable enough to be counted on, Smith provides us the opportunity to carry only 2 QBs and he could fill the role of the 3rd.

We could start the season with Chad and Kellen, and use the other QB spot to sign depth on the O-line or the D-line,

    any thoughts??

Most teams don't do that. Pittsburgh had 3 QB's and they had Randle El

understood, but the steelers did not have the needs we have on the D and O lines, I'm just saying, If you have Brett Favre at QB, it seems like a waste to carry 2 more QBs when you have other needs.

NO TEAM does this. It's silly to since the NFL lets you dress 3 QBs. Now if you want to argue later in the season that we could make Clemens the #3 QB on gameday, with no #2 Qb so we can have another player active for the game, and have Smith come in if needed.. OK.. but you aren't putting only 2 QBs on your 53 man roster.

I guess if you can't do it in Madden, then you can't do it for real,

you don't do it for real b/c it's a ridiculous idea

Wow all this hype over one freakin reverse with awesome blocking, I liked it as much as the next guy, but he's the toast of the ganggreen town for one play...in the preseason

Funky NFL rule #1,214: A team's 3rd QB does not count against the game day roster and he can't play until called upon in an emergency. Once the 3rd QB goes in, even for one play, the other QB's (1st and 2nd) can not go back into the game. That's why players like Randel'l take a lateral or hand-off from the QB before launching it.
