Hey guys, I've got the top pick in the rookie draft for my keeper FFL (everyone can only keep 3 players and no duplicate postions....I have Manning, Gore, and R. White...plus I can also call up a player from my practice squad...I have Mike Williams, TB). I assume the smart pick is either Mark Ingram or Daniel Thomas. I need to make the pick 8AM on Thursday. Any thoughts? DBJ
Daniel Thomas has more re-draft value but Mark Ingram is absolutely the much better dynasty pick. He's the next MJD.
Cardinals trades Hightower and Beanie aint done nothing to impress. So what about Ryan Williams the kid they drafted. They have said they wanted to have a more balanced offense there this season. That said Ingram is def the best bet.
I would take either Ingram or AJ Green in a keeper league. Thomas doesn't excite me, plus they now have a playmaker in Bush who will take away touches. Also, it's the Dolphins. LeShoure and Ryan Williams will be sharing carries with RBs who are also young and similarly talented. At the very least, Ingram will be getting most of the carries, including red-zone, on an awesome offense. Green is instantly the best offensive weapon on that (for now) crappy looking Bengals team. He may not do a hell of a lot in 2011 but he is supremely talented.
Jones will do well because Roddy White will get more attention and Matt Ryan is a proven QB. ...however, mediocre QB play never held AJ Green back at Georgia. He's the kind of a receiver that every QB want - if you put the ball near him, he'll bring it down. In my opinion, Green's the best wideout prospect since Randy Moss.
^ A.J. Green definitely presents more up-side but I just feel like Julio Jones is the safer bet to put up stats now and in the future. You can't really go wrong with either, though.
Yeah, between Julio and AJ in a keeper league, I'm picking AJ without a doubt. IMO, he's the best WR prospect since Calvin Johnson, who was the best since Randy. Calvin is the #1 keeper WR (again, imo), and he's been relatively productive with shit QB play and a shaky offense. Green can do the same. PPR league I'm taking AJ #1 in a rookie draft....non-PPR I'd at least consider Ingram.
