We don't learn much about the team from training camp or even from pre-season. We learn who will be on the team and that's about it. There will be some highlights and some hype, but the hype doesn't mean much.

Even though it is not the same, I still get excited about training camp.

This year there are some position battles and of course some intrigue with how Fields looks

I do like to see the young guys and there are always a few guys that impress…but yeah, it doesn’t always translate to actual on the field playtime or success…but some do. I remember watching Victor Cruz shine in the Giants training camp and preseason and man did he translate to the regular season. I would love to see one of our younger WRs come close to that

Ugh. I was counting on you copy pasting the tweets under this thread but you start with "Yawn" and that makes me worried. :)

Any volunteers to post tweets or X posts under this thread? :)

"YAWN" ???? Ok. So 6 months without football. New regime. New qb. Young core. Learn nothing. We finally have something to talk about here since the draft.

Seriously just get the fuck off this site if that's your attitude. Go watch game 105 of MLB season (nothing wrong with that btw).

Just curious @Brook!, it's fairly easy to open an 'X' account, then follow some of the big names in Sports/Jets reporting. Is this something you've considered?

Thanks my friend. I do have an X account and I follow Jets writers already. It is kind of a TGG tradition to carry tweets here. That's why I asked for volunteers. :)

This is not your typical training camp where is a bit of a country club for the stars. Nothing to yawn about. We have a no shit leadership for once that will demand top effort and accountability. And a meaningful pre season with no shit competition and starters play for a change.

    Yep.

Training sessions start at 8:30 AM. I got tickets to the August 2nd Saturday session and can't wait. :)

Just made a thread saying this exact same thing. Pre season is for finding out exactly what you're working with during the REAL season. The starters have to see action especially with completely new systems on all units and new Coaches trying to install it.
