Mankins' wallet just got a little fatter.

Not so worried about Kazcur, but losing Warren hurts the run defense badly.

On the upside, Shonn Greene's on my roster in my keeper league.

A back injury for an OL is like a death sentence.

What happened to Warren? That guy is a beast.

At least Kaczur should have enough oxycontin for the both of them.

Mankins already said no way he was going back, so who knows what the Pats are going to do now. They're going to have to overpay him like crazy if they want to keep him, and I'm not sure they can afford to.

I doubt they'll go up on the 6.5-7 mil per they already offered.

They won't panic. Kaczur was an experiment at guard anyways. They'll plug someone in. Won't be as good as Mankins, but they always seem to coach up guys to be effective at that position. Scarnecchia does a great job with the line.

If it was left tackle, I'd be alot more worried.

The Warren injury is much more concerning.

Boston sports radio (ugh) reports that Warren may miss the entire season. Big blow to an already very average defense if true.

Tough loss, but the Patriots will be okay. Aaron Schobel is probably flying to NE right now.

Tough loss for the pats. They invested a ton in thier defense through the draft, but now depth becomes an issure if some of the youngsters don't step up.

I thought he was going to Houston? Dam I gotta stop following this Revis thing so closely...

Tough break for Pats, I'm not one of those people who takes issue with beating an injured team but that doesn't mean I wanna see other teams players get injured either.

I doubt Schobel wants play DE for the Pats (not a glamorous position in the 3-4).

This hurts them, but he was just a shell of himself last season because of his ongoing struggles with hip injuries. Gerard Warren will need to step up and Pryor will need also.

Derrick Burgess did decide to come back though. I think they're gonna play more 4-3 than they have in the past, with Burgess and Murrell.

I pray to the football gods that Marques Murrell is a starter on New England's defense.

I really fucking hope you don't think he's going to contribute anywhere other than special teams.

Ty Warren = big loss for the Pats D. They do have the pre-season to try and figure things out though.

I'm not shedding a tear because we all know an injury could happen to any team in the blink of an eye.

Big loss..... Even if they sign Schobel he can not hold Warren's jock in a 3-4......Hey Pats please sign him.

No Warren, no Seymour, this is so not the Pats defense of the dynasty years. They might eke out 10-6 somehow but that's the limit. I doubt they'll do that though. Brady is going to find life without Mankins and Kaczur nearly unbearable. A fish may rot from the head but the Pats are rotting in their bones at this point.

Still as long as Brady is a top flight QB, which he still is, the Pats are easily a 9-10 win team. Their offense still has too many weapons to not have a better than 500 record.
