I know I'll be given a million reasons why he sucks, and he got some of these stats against our defense when it was pussy shit, but didn't Seneca Wallace post 11 touchdowns against 3 picks with 1,532 yards? Those are pretty nice numbers, and Seattle last year had a shitty supporting cast. I could understand them taking Sanchez at 4 if they think he's the real deal as I do, but Wallace seems like a really nice quarterback prospect to have, and a guy that can take the reigns.
There is no way they are really considering this an option. You don't allow a rumor of this magnitude to leave your camp, unless you are baiting teams on the trading front. You make a case that you are for sure taking this QB, just to increase the value of their current selection. All it is.
Rumors get out whether people like it or not. Some years, trades are almost foregone conclusions by the time the draft comes.
I hope you're right on that one. If they really were considering trading up to 8 for Sanchez it might cast a bit of a shadow on the comments that Ryan's been making about feeling confident with the QBs on the roster.
