They also took advantage of the fact that the Cincinnati Bengals, with almost nothing at stake, were less than inspired in the game that allowed the Jets to grab a wild-card spot. The Jets have the NFL's top-ranked defense, which is a legitimate postseason credential. They rush the passer well. They have the league's top-ranked rushing attack. But their rookie quarterback, Mark Sanchez, figures to have a hard time dealing with postseason pressure. Rex Ryan, their rookie head coach, could very well encounter the same problem. Supposedly we are the 6th seed but anyways thought this was funny. Just keep the doubting going.
we are the 5 seed playing the 4 seed. How do these people who are professionals keep making mistakes like these. I feel like the last few days everyone I listen too is wrong about some of their facts.
Can someone please tell Vic, that if the other teams did their jobs to knock us out of playoff contention, the Jets wouldn't have this chance. Not our fault that Pittsburgh, Miami, Houston & Dever f'ed up down the stretch and that the Colts called it quits in the middle of the 3rd quarter last week. :jets::shit:
I'll be honest I get caught up in what people say about my teams. It's frustrating listening to people talk about us this year. We get no respect. Mike Francesa is going to destroy the Jets again tomorrow. I think we just have to realize the Jets will get no respect this year until they beat the Colts or Chargers in the playoffs. Thats very unlikely even though I have confidence in this team. As good as our D may be, it's not great enough to completely shut down either team on the road. We're going to need Sanchez to make plays and thats still a big question. But right now lets just enjoy the week. Hopefully we win a round and lets see what happens. I really don't see how a team with the #1 defense and #1 rushing team doesn't deserve to make the playoffs so all the haters can shut up.
I have a question. Who does belong then? The Texans? The team we crushed this season. The Broncos? Who went 2-8 their final 10. The Steelers? They lost to the Browns, Raiders, Chiefs, wow. The (7-9) Dolphins or Jaguars? Seriously, come on Vic.
If u guys don't belong then I don't know who does... It's obviously not the stealers, dolphins, texans, jags, titans, broncos, ect... They all blew there chance... You guys did not. If I'm any team I am scared to play you... Offense win games, defense win champions... U guys have the number 1 defense and rushing game... Let's say scanchez plays like he did the first few weeks u guys are scary...that's why when they brought up the question if you were the bengals who would u rather play next week jets or the texans my answer was the texans.
