A little late in the season to find our identity, but I think we know who we are now. No more of this 3 straight passes in the red zone stuff. Just straight runs and play action off the runs. That's how you win. I love Sanchez and all, and he deserves a lot of credit for that last drive, but the team's identity is now finally established after 17 games. We're ground-and-pound. Today's the first time I've felt like we know who we are. Give the other offense as little time on the field as possible and hit them in the mouth. My game ball goes to our o-line. If we have this performance next week (hope it's a snow storm!), we'll win.
Many of us here knew that before the season even began. We are a ball control and defense team. That's what we do best. Schotty needs to stop with the shotgun on first down or on short downs. Next week dominating the line of scrimmage is our only hope.
Actually, as long as teams think Sanchez can't beat them with his arm, our running game will be that much more lethal. Between LT, Greene, Sanchez and our wideouts, all we need is to go with what ever facet is working and run it until it's stopped. That means use the pass to set up the run and then run until they don't expect the pass. Not rocket science here.
