Our defense is a paper lion. We have no pass rush and our interior pass coverage is awful. We need to get bigger and faster at the safety position and OLBs and a DT
how about some better playcalling? our offense is loaded with talent....and we're playing like the Frankfurt Galaxy. I've said it before...i'll say it again....Schotty needs to die in a fire. His playcalling constantly fucks this offense in the ass. I don't want to hear about our record....we're scraping by with this guy calling the plays.
Murrell is right....this team as a whole wasn't prepared....in all facets. I'm just tired of the predictable playcalls from Schotty. Sanchez just threw his 3rd INT.........jesus.
c'mon....the Pats are last in the NFL in pass Defense, dude.........how many shots down the field did we take? 3?
this game is not on any one person, player, coach or otherwise. This game was a complete annihilation by NE and we didnt come to play in any phase for any period of time tonight. Sanchez officially has given up and just said fuck it, I'm throwing it to NE as many times as i can
The unpredictable blitzes have become predictable and consequently the lack of a pass rush is extremely glaring.
I think the team thought i was prepared, but Rex thinks we can beat the 85 Bears, a dose of reality goes a long way, I think today's loss is actually a blessing in disguise.
I said exactly this on another thread and was told to "stfu". 100% agree. Nice post. I wouldn't mind a pass rushing end, but an actual pass rushing OLB is probably a better choice at this point.
The problem is the back 8 on defense is so damn slow. The linebackers can't cover, the safeties can't cover. We have no pass rusher that can get pressure one on one. it's a flawed defense.
My OP didn't tell the whole story I guess. This whole team wasn't ready. Offense, Defense or Special Teams. I'm just mostly frustrated with our defense. But the offense was terrible. How many drops did we have? The special teams - a TWELVE YARD PUNT?! Just overall, we were not ready for the big game.
if we had a future franchise QB developing growing through a tough game i would feel alot better. instead we have an inconsistent overrated young guy who will never be elite.
Yeah, I agree. We clearly play horrendously after a bye. So if we are meant to go to the show this year, then the road path is probably our best shot.
I think everybody on the entire Jets team played to their most negative stereotype: ~Nick Folk couldn't kick air. ~Braylon Edwards can't catch. ~LT can't break a tackle. ~Antonio Cromartie can't tackle. ~Eric Smith can't turn around. ~Mark Sanchez can't stay collected. ~Rex Ryan can't administrate a football game. ~Brian Schottenheimer can't exploit an opponent's weaknesses. What am I forgetting? I turned the game off, so if Shaun Ellis and Santonio Holmes fire up a joint, Darrelle Revis stops playing until somebody hands him some cash and Jason Taylor has sex with Tom Brady, please let me know. ADDED: In all seriousness, I think we just found out how important Jimmy Leonhard is to this team. The entire team took a knee in his honor.
