There are still four very good starting tackles that would be great 2nd round picks.

    Glenn, Cordy T 6'5" 345 Georgia

    Martin, Jonathan T 6'5" 312 Stanford

    Adams, Mike T 6'7" 323 Ohio St.

    Massie, Bobby T 6'6" 316 Mississippi

I really don't want us to wait until the 3rd round, but if we do, any of these guys would be an improvement for us at RT.

    Silatolu, Amini T 6'4" 311 Midwestern St.

    Osemele, Kelechi T 6'5" 333 Iowa St.

    Sanders, Zebrie T 6'5" 320 Florida St.

    Allen, Jeff T 6'4" 307 Illinois

    Schwartz, Mitchell T 6'5" 318 California

    Stephenson, Donald T 6'6" 312 Oklahoma

*Just as long as we don't draft Brandon Mosely from Auburn.

Glenn or Martin sound great to me. Hopefully we can stay put and land one of those 2 guys. I have a feeling the Jets might go WR though. Also, if we have a chance for Upshaw we have to take him.

they need to use their 2nd round pick on an OLB

because they wasted a pick on a DE in the 1st round instead of drafting an OLB in the 1st round

I would love to get Glenn, don't know though if he will last to 47.

Tell me about it...I'm shocked Martin, Glenn, and Adams ALL fell out of the first. I would be thrilled if we could somehow walk away with one of these guys tomorrow - our RT situation would be instantly solved. But as we know anything out there is an upgrade over Hunter. If we can't get one of these 3 I'd still be happy with Massie or even Schwartz.

I'd certainly like to trade up in the 2nd without losing our original pick if possible and have 2 picks in this round if we could. Go Andre Branch and Bobby Massie. We'd be set. Ahhh what a pipe dream that would be

Upshaw should be off the board and I think he will be quickly tomorrow. If there when we pick I would love to get him and even waite until the 3rd round for a RT. But other than him I want a RT in the second round.

Also we need a OG/C in round 5 or 6 for depth. Last year we sucked when Mangold went down.

I know many will disagree with me, but I think the D wasn't the main problem last year, so I don't like the first pick based on our needs. If we really wanted to go ground and pound we could have drafted Decastro in the first and one of the available tackles in the second. We'd have a monster o-line and would be able to dominate the line of scrimmage.

Maybe you didn't notice, but pass rush and safety were a huge weak point of Jets D.

I did, but I think our o-line hurt us more. Now that Smith is off the board there isn't a safety worth drafting in the next round IMO. So it comes down to if you feel we would better be served with upgrading our o-line or getting a pass rusher early.

Another thing to consider is the Patriots. They drafted Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower, so we should probably shore up the line if we don't want them to take advantage of a weak spot there.

I'm thinking Tanny might trade up tonight to ensure a lock on Martin or Glenn. I think Martin's the best fit. I guess we'll see. If we can trade our 2nd and a maybe a 5th and 7th to move up in the 2nd, I'd be all about it. Then we can still grab a WR in the 3rd. We can't pick Upshaw with our 2nd round. We need to focus on offense from here on out, unless we find good value on a 2nd round safety. Offense is what needs to improve much moreso than D however, especially up front.

I'm all for getting a tackle in the second. We have to address that need if we want Sanchez to survive another year.
