They hammered hard at how pathetic the jets run defense was. It is so true. It is time to switch to 4-3. Time to make changes

if we switch the defense though, Brian Thomas switches right back to being a bust again -- so much money wasted.

Its been a long time since I've heard one of Joe's shows but this one sums it up perfectly. Mangina and his staff had better make some changes PDQ or they will lose the fanbase just as Kotite did.

Get over it. Vilma is a soft, undersized ILB or MLB. He had ONE good season. His rookie year. ONE! After Fergy left for Dallas. JV sucked inthe 4-3. He is the king of the tackle 8 yds downfield.

If we can find anyone to give us any 1st day pick, it will be a steal!

And btw... this year, he has quit. He will not put his nose in a pile. Pussy

I don't get how no one can seem to understand that a five yard pass to the check down is NOT the play that was called - it's what CHAD executed.

    Seems pretty obvious to me.

    Scene on the sideline....

Shotty: We need 70+ yds in under 2 minutes.... what play should I call... I know... a 5 yd out! I'll have my other receivers run routes down the field as a decoy, and then we can nail the 5 yd out... yeah... yeah... that's the ticket...

Serious question, what were the routes on the last drive before the pick? Does anybody, besides the Pats, ha ha, have video of it. It is easy to say he had WR 15-20 yards down the field, but the tapes don't lie.

The coaches get a camera view that shows the whole field. It's not readily available though, so it's mostly just speculation and guesses about who was open downfield. Even if you go to the game, it still happens so fast, it's impossible to evaluate whether he has open receivers that he's not throwing too or not.

My take is this, for the last 2 seasons, we haven't gotten a lot of throwing downfield, at all. If they really wanted to stretch the field more often, they would stress it to Chad and he wouldn't play if he didn't get it done.

I really doubt the big problem is that he has the opportunities to make those throws consistently and he's not trying. And if he isn't capable of making those throws, the coaches need to start someone who can. That's on them.

My problem with Chad this year is his decision making. Not how he's throwing the ball, for the most part.
