depends on the situation, If he throws some outta the gate you get him out, if he throws them but has 2 tds as well you keep him in, he if throws them in the redzone ya yank em. etc.
No reason to blast the OP, he's one of the best posters on this board asking a legit question. Like said alot depends on the situation, if we're down 14-0 and he throws 2 you have to put in KC. If we're up 21-6 you keep him in there. This game is the Jets season right here. A loss is IMO the end of the world. You have to win at all costs of you have any shot at making the playoffs. Even it means benching Sanchez. If it hurts his confidence that may not be a bad thing as it appears he has too much confidence to make plays he can't at this point in his career.
I say he goes 2-2.... theres no reason to pull him if your defense gives up big time points to the raiders anyway.
what if we stopped being so fucking scared about this kid throwing INTs and just go let him play? fuck with his confidence some more - let's make him a vince young.
im a shitty pser.... it was supposed to be fire.... came out kinda brown huh.... but eating turds works too.
The fact is that its perfectly reasonable to discuss situational what ifs. That in fact is how you are prepared to make smart decisions when circumstances arise. If you don't have the balls&brains to at least consider potential scenarios and analyze your options then you wind up totally unprepared like a deer in the headlights. As Rich Miano correctly identified, the question is really about how important is it to win this game. Obviously if MS has 4 TDs and 2 INTs and we are up by 14 you don't bench him. But if MS has 0 TDs and 2 INTS and we are down 14 it becomes a much different issue. Unless you are a complete fool its definately a question that you might want to consider thinking about since MS has like 8 INTs in the past 3 games.
Totally agree, sanchez is a disaster right now, well see if he can turn it around in oakland, he should be able, i mean, its FUCKING OAKLAND if we were 3-0 going to play oakland we wouldn't even be thinking about this game
You bench this kid for anything other than a significant injury...you will FUCK with his confidence and set back his development. no thanks.
I don't buy that arguement...if getting benched turns you into shit it's because you are shit to begin with. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Vince Young was going to be a garbage QB in this league. The same reason Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow and whatever flavor Mike Leach has throwing for 500 yards a game won't be succesful. They are system guys. Sanchez can go 1 of two ways... he's a USC guy and not too many of them have had good NFL careers which is why I was iffy on him but after 3 weeks I was eating crow. Now the things I feared are showing. He can go the Todd Marinovich direction and flop or he can go Carson Palmer and resurect a franchise that has had mostly dismal history. Then again there is Rodney Pete who had an OK career and certainly long lasting but he was also a late round pick with low expectations. Here is the list of guys I could think of that went to SC and played in the NFL, not exactly a list of HOFers. Mark Sanchez, Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Sean Salisbury, Rodney Peete, Pat Haden, Matt Cassel, Bill Nelsen, Pete Beathard, Vince Evans, Paul McDonald, Todd Marinovich, Rob Johnson.
We all know the moon isn't made out of green cheese, but what if it was made out of BBQ spare ribs? Would you eat it then? I know I would!
