What this team lacks...

    ....is a pure speed rusher. They have a bunch of guys who just try to bull doze guys and can't blow by their guy and sack the QB off the bat. Pace has been alright, but he was NOWHERE near the rusher we had the Abraham. Gholston was suppose to be a good pass rusher, but he is just slow and sucks. #1 priority in next years draft has to be a pass rusher or a CB opposite of Revis.

    yea i wish we still had Abe, when healthy he was a beast on 3rd downs rushing the qb

    Abraham is not a 3-4 DE. So unless he was going to be successful at OLB he would not have fit in. With that said he did have the type of skills that would have allowed him to play LB, but who knows how affective he could have been.

    A decent secondary wouldn't hurt either.

    a defensive coordinator with an ounce of football knowledge would be nice as well

    it's the pass rush. If u play a 3-4, your OLB HAVE to be pass rushers. Bryan Thomas is the most pathetic, overpaid, slowest non-factor the jets have ever had on D. Try Gholston there or Murrell.
