Aside from Pryor almost being a guaranteed starter I don't expect much of anything from the rookies. I recognize there's a lot of potential, especially with the earlier picks, but I don't like putting much expectation in rookie seasons. So aside from winning DROY, OROY and landing a few pro-bowl appearances I don't expect much.
outside of Pryor, i wouldn't expect much out of the gate, and even Pryor will have an adjustment period. as the season goes on, and the game slows down a little, then maybe you'll see one or two other guys earn more playing time. McDougle, Saunders, and Amaro hopefully earn some time. special teams is another avenue to get on the field.
I expect Amaro to make some plays, definitely will be an adjustment period for Pryor but he will make plays as well. Other then that, I think the Special Teams will improve.
I expect Amaro to struggle out of the gate but come on as a legit target as the season rolls along. If 1 of the WR picks can emerge into something then thats a huge plus. I think Dozier is going to be a real solid player too.
Picks 5th round on down and UDFA's are basically camp fodder, special teams (maybe) and practice squad filler. It's unusual to even have a 4th round pick starting however we've gotten lucky with this group in the past. We should get lucky again this year with our 4th round picks: Saunders, Evans, Dozier Of the lower ranked players, George (ILB), Dixon (CB), Enunwa (WR), Enemkpali (DE), Boyd (QB), & Reilly (OLB), I'd think Boyd (QB) could unseat Simms as the #3, and Trevor Reilly (OLB) will start out on the PS but get moved up pretty early in the season, depending on how Barnes, Babin, Pace and Coples do. Coples ain't going anywhere so if Barnes isn't ready, Pace falls off, or Babin has lost more than a step Rex could promote Reilly sooner rather than later. Of the UDFAs, Chad Young could show up to camp drunk and have no trouble beating out Bohanan for the FB spot.
I expect 11 starters from day one. Boyd to leapfrog vick for qb2 and to show enough in spot duty to net us a 1st rounder in next years draft. anything less and they are all busts and the whole franchise should be discontinued and woody idzic and rex should be drawn and quartered. // s.o.j.f.

The consensus seems to be that Pryor will have an immediate impact, but may take a bit of time to excel at being the Qb of the D. Amaro I think will have to take more time to learn the O, though. I doubt he's going to excel from Day One. It of course would be great if MacDougle contributes at Cb, but I can't say I have an expectation there. Will Boyd even make the starting roster? Practice Squad? But yes, overall improvement in special teams is a fair expectation.
Amaro could still be very good in the red zone from Week 1, because he has a huge catch radius. McDougle won't get to play unless/until there are some injuries - or if he truly wows the coaches. As a 3rd rounder he's not necessarily expected to be a Week 1 starter, and we brought in guys like Patterson and Dowling so we don't "need" him to be that unless he's genuinely better than them as a rookie (which is unlikely.) He may get to play later in the year if there are some injuries or if Milliner gets benched again.
Prey is the only one I think will have an impact this year. I actually hope one of the rookies can be a decent punt returned. We haven't had a good one since moss left. Sent from my Surface with Windows RT using Tapatalk
Outside of Pryor I think Saunders is going to flourish. And maybe Reilly could be decent. I expect everybody else to struggle even Amaro.
