When he played for us that one season he wasnt bad at all and then he had his issues and he seemed to fall of the face of the earth. I remember Herm saying that if Quincy wanted to come back he would have a home with the Jets. Where did this guy go?? Anyone know?
He had the potential to do something with his career, just couldn't get his drug problems together. Left us high and dry in the playoffs in '04.
True bi-polar disorder is extremely serious. It's a mental illness, and apparently he was self-medicating to normalize himself. I thought he filed for retirement in the beginning on the '05 season. He can't still be in rehab - unless he's recovering from the 12-Step Horsecr*p he couldn't have gotten anywhere for free. I wish him well.
I don't remember him filing retirement papers. I just assumed he had to sit out last year. Bipolar disorder is definately a horrible and debilitating disease. I really feel sorry for him, and I feel bad about knocking him so much.
Not to be mean, but WHO THE HELL CARES...he was with us for one year and wasn't a contributor to our team. I really could care less where this on again off again coke head is. I would much rather know what dennis byrd is up to, or better yet where al toon is nowadays. Hey has anyone seen browning nagle? oh and of course we can't forget blair thomas...i wonder what fast food place he's working in.
am not really trying to be negative, i just think there are other real ex jet players that we should wonder about their whereabouts. BTW i was serious about blair thomas...where is that bum?
Here is your Quincy Carter answer, from an interview with FSN South last month. http://georgia.scout.com/2/501838.html Apparently he would like to return to the NFL.
