Maybe he isn't ready, but now that the season is over can we trot this guy out and see if he can open up the passing game? Maybe I can get some excitement out of a little Petty to ASJ in the next few games? Any news on this guy at all?

He could be a huge difference to the offence if he could get fit and stay and probably best not to drink and drive anymore either.

Such a shame this season has gotten to the "trotting guys out" phase, pre-Thanksgiving.

TBH, I'd rather be trotting unproven guys out there then being 8-8 with the known garb we have. ASJ was a low risk high reward guy. He needs to get healthy and hopefully develop chemistry with Bryce.

He's a crappy player. There's nothing to see.

Chan Gailey is trying to figure out what the "TE" thing is that keeps showing up after his name.

Gailey probably thinks "TE" stands for: The End.

Well, if so, he's correct. His work with the Jets will be "the end" of his coaching career and probably "the end" of Todd Bowles' career as a HC.

Remember the good old days when t.e. stood for tackle eligible and we would dump it off to kyle brady for 3 yards on 3rd and 5? i kinda miss that now

Once Petty gets in there I bet TE's will get more catches. Fitz is just a one read QB at this point.

The best part of this thread is that the OP honestly believed a crappy TE could contribute on this offense.

Or Anthony Becht. Miss that guy. Sealed an edge like no other for Curtis Martin.

Petty actually hit Studfield on a crossing route for a TD during the Preseason. It was a laser if I remember correctly. Then they cut Studfield.
