to get those white face masks as a permanent change to our helmets? They looked slick out there on Sunday as well as against the Bills in last years color rush game. They need to stay.
I kinda like the green facemasks. Facemasks: What if... white on one side, green on the other? Or striped, maybe checked? Swirled, tie-died?
I really want the jets to undergo a radical change of decal, and jersey design/color. Our current colors/jersey/decal is boring and stale and I think its time as other teams have went ahead and changed their look. 2018 would be a perfect time to do so.
Fuck that. Jets have the classiest uniforms in the league (not the green ones, the white ones are fire though).. That is who we are. Parcells brought it back and it stays. You don't see the Steelers, Cowboys, Chiefs, Bears, Packers, Raiders switching jerseys. Too much history with the Jets.
Yea too much history of losing. I know there's no direct correlation but I think in 2018 Jets will be heading in the right direction and improving, why not change up the decal or colors? And I'm not talking about making the uniforms look like a mish mosh of bright colors, just change it up a bit. A white face mask looked great, small changes like that would be nice.
Yea but Joe Willy won in those uniforms. Can't go. I like the small change idea. The problem is if you go to Nike requesting a change, they do not know what moderation is.
Fair, I don't need the jets looking like they're the Oregon Ducks, just some small changes. I think our decal is the main culprit in being boring. Helmets could be so much nicer IMO
I wouldn't mind some more incorporation of some actual Fighter Jets. Do you remember the early 2000's they used to have that logo sometimes on the stadium walls. Let me see if I can find a pic.

Remember that time a team changed it's colors and logo and it made it look better? A case could be made for the Buccaneers change from the Creamcicles and Winking Pirate to the Pewter and Pirate Flag, but they've since ruined that by turning their numbers into 1980's alarm clock numbers..... The new Cardinals uniforms are probably the best executed change, and even those don't look as good as the old ones. Can anyone show me an NFL uniform change in the last 20 years that made things better? The only two I can think of are the Jets going back to their old unis and the Bills going back to their old unis.
I liked the Blue helmets better than the white. The lightning bolt looks better now, though. Once again, the old powder blues are better still.
Agreed about the powder blue uniforms being better. Don't they wear them sometimes though? I remember seeing LT in them a lot. I love the white helmet over the blue.
