I think the 80's Uniforms for the Seahawks sucked hard. So many teams had silver helmets. Now I dont like the neon Green but the Matte blue helmet is very very nice.

In regard to the OP, I too love the white face mask. Just looks super clean and a nice touch. We really do need to update our helmet logo though. Its just too complicated and a mess.

I used to prefer to see us in green. But I now hate the olive drab green so much i think our home uniform should be the all white design. I would love to see the Kelly green come back.

The chest patch. Well I like that also. I think NFL jerseys are too plain. They need to show the team on it somehow. Maybe the patch could be elsewhere but I think the team badge should be on all jerseys somewhere.

The B-2 "Spirit" Stealth Bomber is not retired, and is expected to serve until the 2050's at least. But they haven't built one since 2000.
That doesn't mean much, I guess-- the B-52 is expected to serve until the 2040's at least, and the last one rolled off the line in 1962. Both are expected to be replaced by the B-21 "Raider", if they ever start building those.

My pick for a bomber Jet would be the B-1B "Lancer". Depending on the viewing angle, they look either awesome or awful, so the logo would have to be done carefully.

I just realized that the B-52 went out of production the same year the "Titans of New York" went under, to re-emerge as the NY JETS in 1963.

They don't make 'em like they used to.

Here are two articles that show that uniform color can affect a team's performance and how that team is perceived by observers (referees, fans):

    https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/attitude-check/201610/do-uniform-colors-matter-in-sports

    http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/s...in-sports-the-red-team-is-more-likely-to-win/

Of course these results are based on when two otherwise nominally equal opponents compete.

My personal preference is for predominantly orange uniforms - I always liked the old Broncos unis, but not their newer ones. I realize that by tradition the Jets need to keep their green & white motif, but if they were to consider a complete change, I would like to see an orange jersey, with white pants with orange stripes down the side and white numbering/lettering; orange helmets. Sticking with the green & white, I would prefer kelly green jersey's with white pants, kelly green striping, white numbering/letters; kelly green helmets.

Trying to imagine the structural engineering and takeoff/landing logistics involved in that banner.....

Hell, the Navy version would already have a tailhook; trying to get it slow enough to pick up a banner might be a problem. Better build a better banner if you're going to snag it at 150 knots.

I hadn't seen the B-1B Lancer before. I see what you mean. From a side view, it looks too much like a regular passenger jet. It looks better from the top, but I like the B-2 or the F-22 Raptor the best. When I googled the B-1B Lancer, I found a YouTube video of it. There's another video there with the caption "The Most-Feared Plane On Earth For the Moment: F-22 Raptor." I love the sound of that, and thing it would be a great motto for the Jets to strive to live up to.

Jacksonville's helmets are awful, but IMO the Philadelphia Union's kits are worse. Take a Civil War inspired uniform and slap Bimbo on the chest. I get Bimbo is a Mexican company and Bimbo doesn't have the same connotation there, but the Union are an American team.

As much as it pains me the Giants white jersery with the red numbers and grey pants is pretty classic. Really like that uni.

I really like our current uniforms and wouldn't want to change. The white facemask being permanent I think would be a cool but unnecessary decision.

What I do really want is our throwbacks back. No Color Rush Leprechaun bullshit. I wouldn't mind seeing those ugly blue and gold Titans unis (I think we are close to undefeated in those) or even 80's Kelly Green Throwbacks which I'm dying to see. Make it happen Chris Johnson.

I have never even heard of the Philadelphia Union. It's probably just a matter of time before the NFL, MLB and NBA start advertising on their unis.

To each his own. I loved those unis with the royal blue, kelly green and white. I had never seen another team with those colors and they were clean and a great combo imo. Perhaps the socks and leg stripes could have been modified, but the colors were great.

I agree with you on the white face masks, hating the olive draft unis and our helmet logo, and liking the Kelly green for us better than the dull forest green. The Packers use it with their gold and it looks good. I'd rather ours have a distinctive color, although the Eagles and ours are very close if we go back to the Kelly green.

LOL I hate the NBA so haven't watched it in years. I've even grown tired of NCAA basketball, but used to love it. The post you responded to was more tongue-in-cheek. Having advertising on unis looks like little league or church league softball, and looks totally amateurish imo. Owners of professional sports franchsises (at least the top levels) should be making money by the fistful from TV rights, ticket sales, promotional materials, jersey & other clothing sales, stadium naming rights, etc. that they don't need to advertise on their unis.
