yes, one of two is fine. THen we have three easy teams in a row after that. We could be 5-2, that would be amazing.
One is fine, but twos better. I can see us winning this weekend against the Colts. Jacksonville should be a really good game. I don't know at the moment who could win that game.
I think we will struggle against the Colts but we seem to play Jacksonville very close the times we have played them but this is a strange thing I though about the other day. We played Jacksonville in 01 when Vinny got hurt, then we lost 2 QBs against them last year so hopefully there is no trend here. As far as the next 2 games if we were to win one of the 2 that would be more than satisfactory considering these are 2 potential SB contenders in the AFC. A win would cement us as a legit playoff contender.
"Satisfied" is an ugly word in this context. Part of me says we should never be satisfied with less than victory. Another part says that if we can get one win it'll be more than I expected against these opponents. And one more part of me says that even if we can stay close in these two games will be satisfactory on some level (see opening game last year for reference purposes) I can't vote. Nope, can't do it.
I actually think we will play better against the Colts than the Jags. The Jags will force the running game on us a lot more than BUF did. Therefore they can control the ball and the clock. So Im content with going 1-1 in these two games. I just want us to remain competitive in both.
We'll lose both, but if we can get one I'd be extremely happy. If we lose both, I'm okay with that as long as we play both teams tough and are in it at the end.
I won't be disatisfied with 3-3. I'd be thrilled with 4-2, which I think is unlikely. The next two games will be very diificult to win.... I'm looking for two fairly close hard fought games.... but it's week 6 that I have to have, over Miami. Both Indy and Jax are super bowl contenders.... we just aren't there yet.
Hell yes I would be satisfied -- it will also get back alot of respectability in the league -- I say 5-3 at the bye week would be better than most of us expected and that record my friends is quite obtainable -- J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
I wouldn't be that upset if we lost both, since they are better teams, so obviously I'd be happy if we won one of them
As far as I'm concerned, after we were written off as rebuilding, anything that happens this year that is positive is all gravy. Come to think of it, I love lowered expectations.
I WANT the JETS to win every game (don't we all) and i hope we get an upset or two in the following weeks, but would have to agree, if we lose both i hope they are not 'arse whippins'. We will know a lot more about our team after these two games. Arguably Colts and the JAGS are two of the best in the league, NFL school starts for us this sunday. GO :jets:
I think will take 1 but if we somehow beat the Colts then I think we would win both...The Colts is obviously the tougher of the two but anything can happen.
