http://www.azcentral.com/sports/car...less-arizona-cardinals-find-franchise-qb.html I'm assuming we don't trade a major player (Revis ?) in a contract dispute, and I realize LF is not Calvin Johnson but he is a Top 5 receiver in my opinion and paired with Sanchez he would make Holmes and everybody else that much more dangerous. Root for the Cards to go 4-12. LOL
If Cards pack 3 1sts, 3 2nds and 3 3rds, THEY can pick up Revis from us. 2 1sts for Larry Fitzgerald? NO FUCKING WAY.
No chance in hell. This team needs a running back 10 times more than a receiver. Holmes, Hill, Kerley may not be the sexiest three names in the NFL, but I'll go to war with them every week. Greene, Powell, McKnight on the other hand, oof.
I would pay the price, if the contract was just a rookie scale contract. But with that contract (thus limiting our cap space) PLUS those picks, well then no. If we give up high draft picks, it has to be for cheap players, so the holes that could've been filled by the draft can be addressed in free agency with cap space. He's an excellent WR, infact I think he's a clear No. 2 overall in terms of talent, but stuck on a team that has terrible QBs since Warner left.
I would trade just one. It's an enormous contract. And to be honest, I'm not sure Sanchez/Tebow would have much chemistry with Larry Fitz. I'd love to "buy low" on Adrian Peterson, however... although he has a huge contract too
oh good, yeah Fitzgerald has that style where he's gonna be good for a long time, not overly explosive but runs great routes, has great hands, blocks well and has great work ethic. I mean is Arizona cant win especially with Seattle and San Francisco looking better, though they beat Seattle, they might move him and most likely out of conference. But I think he stays there I'd give up a 2 and a 5 for him though
god I want a running back so bad its crazy how much better we'd look with a threat out of the back field
OG, TE, OLB, RB, and a cover safety These are all positions wed be better off targeting in the 1st rd of the next two drafts than trading for a 16 mil plus a yr wr with only a few good yrs left in the tank
I remember seeing like a Sports Science episode on espn, where they had him hanging upside down, and threw balls at him, and he still caught them all. Was like wtf. Actually here is the video, some of his catches are one handed too. Oh, I can't post a link to the video yet. Can just search for it on youtube. I think Arizona goes for a Qb this upcoming draft and just start him. I see them going after someone like Tyler Bray, who can flat out wing it, and give him 2 targets in Fitz and Floyd, and see if they can develop something. No one is really going to pay that kind of price that they are looking for because of his contract though, so I think he's stuck there unless the price comes down.
I wouldn't want any part of him after another 300+ touch season. By the time next season rolls around he will have 1 good year left 2 if he's lucky. This is all the more worse consdering based on popularity and marketing alone the jags will ask for way too much cause of him being a household name
Idk they may not want to pay him the money he wants. They'll probably take an average deal just to get rid of him. But I'm just speculating. This team does not need a receiver. Week 1 proved that we are set in that department. RB is another issue but hopefully Powell gets more touches in the weeks to come.
I think everyone underrates shonn greene. He's not the gamebreaker he appeared to be in the playoffs his rookie year, but he's good enough to plattoon with a quality back. People here don't pay attention the OL play enough. The interior run blocking is garbage. Thus far. Im glad to see the pass blocking looks wayyyy better than it did a few weeks ago. Even howard looks way better. He went from looking lost against the bengals to realizing this is his only shot to be a career starter and siezing the moment. That being said slauson is a B grade player and Moore is on his way out the league. Moore used to move DTs out the gap and chip off to LBers. Now hes just holding his own. He's not horrible but its a far cry from being one of the best run blocking OGs which he was for quite a while till last yr.
Great WR's tend to last forever. The odds are good that Fitzgerald will be highly productive until 35 or 36. Even so, 2 #1's is too much to pay for a guy on the edge of the field. He does probably have 7 seasons of 75+ catches left though. For a team like Green Bay or the Giants that already has the QB in place, in his prime and in a wide-open Super Bowl window he might be worth the price.
