For me, it would have to be beating New England at Foxboro in the playoffs after getting our asses handed to us in the regular season 45-3.
The first game vs the Pats in the old stadium, or when Shonn Greene scored that TD in the playoffs and told the Pats fans to go to bed...
I think the aura of going into 2010 and Hard Knocks and how great some of those moments were that year. Rex made us the shit. One of Our most entertaining seasons. FUUUUUUCCCCKKKKK I can't believe that is done. _
2010 vs the Pats in the playoffs was my favorite game. my favorite moment was 4th and short against the Chargers in 2009 and instead of punting, he went for it and just let's end it here. Which we did.
Beating the Pats in the playoffs Beating the Cowboys in 2011 The games in Miami in 2012 and 2013 Beating the Falcons, Pats, and Saints in 2013
That's exactly what I was going to post. I thought we had a different HC here. One with balls and the common sense to play percentages in big moments. That was my favorite Rex Ryan decision. Unfortunately that Rex went away real fast.
I can say in all honesty, as far as Rex himself is concerned, there has been none. While I relished in the 2019-10 seasons and the success, I can honestly say that when this buffoon gave his first press conference, I truly felt that we were in for years of stupidity. While most thought his performance on HBO was entertaining, I thought it showed what a stupid man he was. Not that he threw out a curse word, but that his conversations on that series was noting but "F" this and "F" that. Just showed his intellect. We each have our own opinions. This just happens to be mine.
The 2010 Pats victory The Texans, Browns, Lions wins. "3 home teams advance...and the FUCKING NEW YORK JETS" God damn I love Rex.. BUT YA GOTTA GO BUD
what's funny is being "risky" gets you liked and sets a tone as a coach, but being "risky" also puts you on the hot seat when it backfires unless you got rings on your finger to protect yourself. That's not really about Rex but coaching in general. Nobody ever goes back and says if a team went for it 4th and 1 instead of kicking a FG they could be in the game. But they go back and say if you didn't go for it on 4th and 1 and took the FG you could be in the game right now.
the post asked for us to contribute. I did. You have your opinion, I have mine. I simply feel he is an overrated windbag. All too often first impressions set us in a certain manner. That is how he struck me and I guess I never shook it.
That was the peak of the Jets success under Ryan, it was all downhill from there. I'd have to agree with that game being the best moment for the Jets under Ryan. The game the week before in Indy was great to, Cro set them up with that big return when it looked like the game was over and then Sanchez hit Braylon for that big first down.
