Jets Declare Inactives For Week 3

The New York Jets have declared CB Lito Sheppard, CB Donald Strickland, OG Matt Slauson, QB Erik Ainge, QB Kevin O'Donnell, DE Ropati Pitoitua, LB Jamaal Westerman and WR David Clowney as inactive for Week 3. Erik Ainge will be #3 emergency quarterback.

CB Lito Sheppard and CB Donald Strickland are out due to injuries suffered last week against the Patriots. CB Dwight Lowery will start in place of Sheppard, while CB Drew Coleman will replace Strickland at nickel. It's quite surprising, however, to see WR David Clowney (#4 on the depth chart) inactive.

    Didn't expect Clowney inactive... would've preferred Wright.
