Jets waive Carroll, Leonhard injured

Admin - November 16, 2009

S Jim Leonhard suffered a broken thumb in yesterday's game against the Jaguars and is scheduled to have surgery today. It's not known at this time how many games he's going to miss if any at all.

The Jets waived S Ahmad Carroll who was inactive in last two games. According to Rex Ryan, the move was mainly caused by the emergence of CB Marquice Cole. Although, when asked if there was also a non-football reason to waive Carroll, Rex Ryan answered that he didn't want to get into any specifics.

LB Kenwin Cummings has been moved to the active roster to fill the spot left by Carroll's departure.
