Both the Jets and the Giants will play in the first ever football game at the New Meadowlands, as the teams will face each other in the first preseason game of the upcoming season on August 16th. The Gang Green will also open their regular season with a Monday Night game at the new stadium, while the Giants open their season there the day before.
The last time the Jets and Giants played in the first preseason week was 1983. The Jets have won 12 of the last 14 games in this summer series.
In Week 2 of preseason the Jets will travel to Carolina to face the Panthers. In Week 3 they will host the Washington Redskins. And finally, the Gang Green will travel to Philadelphia on September 2nd. The dates and times for weeks 2 and 3 are yet to be determined.
